Gorgeous characterful cottage in a lovely village

This cottage completely surpassed all the photos, it has such a lovely character, was spotlessly clean and was in the most perfect location in a lovely village with good amenities but also not far from Chester. I'd love to return when next in the area. We particularly appreciated all the thoughtful festive touches as we stayed in December :)

Peaceful cozy cottage

Location was lovely and the villagers were very friendly. The cottage was very well equipped - and had fresh milk in the fridge and tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits on the bench to welcome us. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

grab rails over the bath would have been helpful for getting in and out of the shower.

Good communications with hosts, excellent facilities and lovely cottage and village location (plus easy access into chester and various countryside walks).

Twin room mattresses not comfortable (could feel springs when lying on my side) and noisy morning traffic if you leave window open at night... all else spot on beyond those two items one of which hopefully will ASAP be resolved for others.

A very enjoyable 4 night stay.

Characterful cottage in a delightful village. Interesting to read about the history and changes to the property over many years.

Tripping hazards and low beams not great for elderly and/or tall people - but we had been informed of these in advance so it's not a complaint! A grab handle in the bathroom would be great, also a night light plug on the landing.

Quaint cottage in friendly village.

The cottage was quaint with an interesting history. The kitchen was well equipped; the separate dining room had a large table; the living room had a small wood burning stove. There was one bathroom downstairs and a very small upstairs toilet and basin between the 2 bedrooms. The second bedroom was more spacious than the main which could only fit a double bed. Bunbury is a friendly village with a lovely tea room, 3 lovely pubs, a great butcher and a well equipped Co-op.

The boiler in the separate laundry had a strong kero smell.

Ideal location in very pleasant village. Well presented charming cosy cottage very clean and welcoming Christmas decorations a nice touch Provision of useful supplies appreciated Excellent modern bathroom

Only comment was it would have been great to have two sofas in the lounge. The existing small sofa and the two tub chairs were not that comfortable

A very enjoyable week, and a perfect holiday cottage

Beautifully presented and very comfortable cottage, in a good location, with off road parking. The owners have undertaken a very thorough and sympathetic restoration of this listed building. Highly recommended, and would definitely visit again.

Perfect cottage!

A gorgeous cottage in a lovely village. There is a coffee shop next door which was ideal for breakfast and takeaway cakes and coffee. We enjoyed meals out at 2 local pubs and fish and chips from the village chippy! Easy to get in and out of Chester. The cottage was perfect and well equipped with everything we needed.
