Clean, warm, easy.

Very warm very clean. Good location for what we needed. Easy to park. Some good lanes for walking.

All fine. Only down side, No pub in the village and the lanes to walk to the nearest were very busy with no verges to hope off. Other lanes were fine for walking. We weren’t there for a holiday but it still would have been nice to have a welcome pack or some milk to make life a little easier.

Clean, tidy, cosy and comfortable.

The storage / junk area directly outside the entrance. Distracts from the overall pleasantness.

Great for what we needed , just a few niggles. .

Location was good for the sandstone trail. Loved the wood burner however even though there was fire lighters and a basket of logs … there was no kindling 🤷🏻‍♀️ V well equipped kitchen , comfy beds .

Was going to bring my 2 dogs , did message the owner to see if it was ok , didn’t get an answer so I didn’t bring them which was a tad annoying . The drain in the shower is blocked .. needs cleaning .

Will stay again!

Very comfortable, excellent hosts, very clean, everything there that you would need. Also noticed that things like the fridge / kettle, etc were quality well known brands and not budget makes. Tea rooms on location a tasty bonus!

We had a very enjoyable stay.

The Shippon was very comfortable and cosy, it was well equipped and clean, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again or recommend to friends.

The ceilings were quite low for my husband.

Beautiful location

It was very cold with no heating downstairs. It was also very dark as the windows are totally frosted in the living room. This should be made clear at the point of booking.

Convenient for Cheshire’s attractions and the city of Chester.

Lovely rural getaway. Enjoyed the coffee shop’s breakfast.

Cushions on the dining chairs..... but that was all.
