We recently stayed at The Gentleman’s Quarters near Shrewsbury, it was a wonderful weekend. The property is a wing of a beautiful historic Elizabethan hall, and from the moment we arrived we felt genuinely privileged to be staying somewhere so full of character and heritage. Despite its impressive size, the building was warm, welcoming, and surprisingly homely. There was plenty of space for our group of twelve friends to relax together, whether chatting over breakfast or unwinding in the evenings in the panelled dining room with a roaring log fire. The setting was equally lovely—peaceful countryside all around, perfect for walks and exploring.

A step back in time. We really loved the privacy of this property. It had plenty of room for us all and really great facilities.
The wifi was really poor and there was no phone reception in the house, but it turned out well being off the grid.
