We love it here.

This was our third time. Love that theres everything you need for a short stay. Theres nice little walks locally or just on the farm itself. Plenty of horses to see and little Victor the goat is a firm favourite with us. Nothing too much trouble for the hosts if you have any problems or would like any information, otherwise they respectfully leave you be.

Theres nothing we dont like, everything has been thought of for a short stay. Its a lovelly base to stay at and explore the north east.

Amazing

The property is amazing very clean everything you need is there. It’s very comfy the bed is as well. The farm its self is beautiful as well it very quite where u are but your 6 min from a big shopping complex as well. The host are very friendly and helped straight away when we had 1 little problem. And the friendly goat and beautiful horses and dogs were lovely. We will defo be back

Lovely,clean, quiet studio flat.

Great location for Kynren parking (Yellow car park at the college). Nice and quiet, though. Very clean on arrival, spacious living area. I loved the goat, he's a proper little character. Seeing the horses and dogs was a bonus for me, not so much, my sister, though, as shes not a dog lover, and we did get a robust hello from them ( all bark and cuddles, no bite) whenever we parked up, if they were outside. The secure car park on site was also a bonus.

A bit difficult to wash my hair in a bath and I was worried I would get the floor wet if I used the shower tap over the bath but that definitely wouldn't stop me booking this studio flat again, it was lovely.

Clean and comfortable first floor accommodation accessed via a spiral staircase.

We had a couple of nights here, some lovely country side and walking distance of the oldest Saxon church in England. Bishop Auckland and Durham (using park and ride) were within easy reach. Very comfortable accommodation and host was most welcoming.

Super stay at the stables holiday let

Safe parking . Clean upon arrival . Easy self check in and out . Very spacious . Dog loved watching out of the window at the beautiful horses dogs and goat . Perfect for us when visiting family . Even booked for next year whilst there . Local to supermarkets. Whitton castle down the road and lovely .

Fabulous place to stay

Absolutely beautiful place. The hosts were so nice and full of great tips for places to visit, nothing was too much trouble. Very comfy and welcoming loft apartment, surrounded by beautiful horses and a gorgeous friendly goat. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.

A lovely property ruined by an aggressive dog on site.

The Facilities were very comfortable and modern.

Unfortunately there is a very aggressive dog on site, on our last evening we came out of our apartment door and the owners dog ran up the spiral staircase and attacked our small timid dog and bit her, we had to fend the dog off her, If you are taking a dog with you i would think twice before going, either the owner needs to have this dog on a lead at all times near the apartment or they need a stair gate at the bottom of the stairs, i did contact the owner after the stay to discuss what happened but they never replied.

Beautiful place for a short or longer break

Beautiful place - the Stables is spacious and bright and airy. Well equipped kitchen area. The bed was really comfy and there was plenty of room for our dogs to enjoy the stay too. Lovely to see all the gorgeous animals on the farm. Nice local pub and the owners left lots of suggestions for nice places to go locally

The sofa is in need of upgrading really as it sagged on one side so wasn't comfy. This was just a minor thing though. We really loved the Stables

Great stay!

It was a lovely stay. We enjoyed the facilities and loved all animals, especially Victor, the goat. The accommodation was very clean and functional, and the hosts were extremely helpful. Everything we needed was there. It's a great base for exploring Durham Dales.

Everything you need for a cosy retreat.

Great location for the local Bishop Auckland and Durham area. Everything we needed was there! The girls working with the horses were lovely and very helpful, and the host too, who brought up a first aid kit immediately after a deep finger cut!

The only negative would be the noise around 8-9am in the morning. As we are right above the stables, the metal doors kept banging every time a horse was taken out. And the whole apartment rumbled!
