Comfortable stay in a cosy, quiet flat

The flat was gorgeous and cosy which was especially appreciated on arriving on a cold wet February afternoon. Bed was soft and very comfortable. The flat is within walking distance of the Auckland deer park house and the shops and restaurants in Bishop Auckland. 15 minutes to walk to Asda. Kitchen has most of the basic equipment needed for cooking.

Point to note - blinds in bedrooms do not provide blackout. Not a problem for us in February.

Very satisfied

Very central location. Good facilities. Comfortable bed. Well stocked kitchen with a pint of milk and a bottle of orange juice free on arrival. Really good value for money and we will be back.

Parking wasn't great as the allocated space is quite small but we do have a hilux truck which needs a bit more room. There were only 3 knives which was a bit tight at times.

Amazing property, great location.

Amazing apartment, location couldn't be better. Very warm inside and plenty of space for 4 people. Parking for 1 car directly opposite, lock box with key for check in. Tea / milk provided which was nice. Very comfortable, I can't recommend enough.

Hot water from taps wasn't great, shower was a little weak but very minor issues. I'd still stay again.

Good location.

Convenient location but parking a little tricky. Great for a walk round the Bishop’s Palace Deer park and great refectory.

Only a little space around one of the beds. The steep stairs were difficult for older folk with big cases. Sofas weren’t very comfortable.

Great little apartment in central of Bishop Auckland

Very pleased with the flat, it was central to the attractive area around the Bishops palace and had all the essential things you need for a short stay. Any initial issues were dealt with speedily by the host and I will definitely rebook next time I need to be in Bishop Auckland.

Excellent location for Bishop Castle and gardens. Had everything we needed and communication was excellent too. Tucked away in a lovely quiet location. Would happily recommend and look to stay again.

Fantastic experience

This may be the best accomodation I've stayed in. Light and bright, in a central but quiet area ... extremely well laid out and equipped, it really added such a lot to our first time experience of Bishop Auckland where we attended Kynren (fabulous!) and visited the Bishops Palace (building and gardens also fabulous) on the following day (practically next door) ... I hope the town becomes a go-to destination for more people as the town deserves investment. Contact with the owner was brilliant ... quick responses and very accomodating. Quick shout out also for the taxi driver who took me from the railway station and got out of his cab to make sure I got into the flat safely. I/we plan to come back if we can secure this accomodation again in future.

Minor, minor point ... would have liked a cafetiere in the kitchen but absolutely wasn't a real issue

Perfect flat in a perfect location

Everything perfect. Fantastic position a couple of minutes walk to Auckland Palace and in a lovely location . Very clean and four of us stayed and there was ample room . Highly recommended. ☺️

Fantastic flat

Wow, what a fantastic little flat (it's really not that little btw) in an excellent location, close to the center of town for all the amenities. Had my fingers burnt recently with an Airbnb, this property is on a totally different level (full marks). Communication with the owner is excellent, location is excellent, flat is excellent! What more to say!

Personal preference this! I was working nights and the Venetian blinds just didn't cut it, could have done with some blackout curtains as back up, but like I said this is personal and no reflection on the flat itself.

Location excellent, private parking, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, smart tv, wifi, early access, and late morning checkout, Good for places to visit.

Central location, clean, modern rooms, milk, water and juice in fridge, tea and coffee, range of urensils, pots, pans etc, clean towels, cleaning equipment

Personal choice but curtains would have worked better rather than blinds. A blind in the kitchen would be better but again this is a personal choice.

I am amazed at how very clean and spotless it is, with perfectly sized rooms and beautiful decor. The location is perfect for commuting in and around bishop, and checking in was made easy.

The location was excellent, the host extremely pleasant, the decor immaculate, the lounge and kitchen large and very well equipped and we enjoyed every minute of our stay

We wanted a convenient place to stay to visit family and this flat was perfect for our needs.

Within walking distance of almost anything you could need, including railway, bus, taxi transportation as well as some supermarkets and smaller local shops. Convenient to drive either to the coastal towns or into the dales areas. The flat itself has a washing machine and drying rack so no need to find laundry facilities, as well as being clean and comfortable to stay in.

You really need to sort the shower out mate, hot for 1 min then cold for 1 min, I would have given you a 5 out of 10 but its your business and im not mean, sort it out.

Super stay, close to the Auckland Palace Deer Park great visit to the Auckland Project and Durham.

Cosy, clean and comfortable with a welcoming touch of milk and water in the fridge. Excellent location and very quiet.
