Nice if you’re staying in the area

The property was obviously refurbished and well equipped, ideal if you’re looking to stay in the area .

The property was cold and the heating was obviously being controlled elsewhere (hive)? I’d rather pay another £10 a night and have control of the heating ! Shower leaked through ceiling in en-suite !

Kitchen has everything you need, beds were really comfy and handy having an en-suite upstairs aswell as bathroom. Easy enough to get parked on street, Xmas tree was lovely.

Only thing was grey sofa and tub chair not very comfy but apart from that everything was perfect

Beautiful property, decoration was immaculate and modern…..very comfortable and roomy with lots of space….including an outdoor area. Very well maintained and spotless. Great location close to town and had no problem parking directly outside…..good communication with the host Steve who accommodated our requests for early check in/ late check out. Would definitely come back.

Fantastic property and lovely host

Marvellous quality finish to the whole house, facilities and equipment provided fantastic. The host was lovely and friendly, the location of the property was great for visiting Kynren and Bishop Auckland centre, parking wasn't a problem, the house had everything you'd need and more. Extremely impressed with the property and price per night, fab house. A massive bonus was having a private decking area at the back, with tables and chairs, as it was lovely sitting outside in the sunshine in a private and lovely little area at the back of the terraced house. Kitchen was fantastic in supplies and equipment. Thank you.

Mattresses were extremely soft and spongy, it was the only downside of our stay, as after two nights, we got a bad backache, but some people like soft mattresses, so can't please everyone. Suggest a firmer mattress on just one of the beds to provide an option in the future.

What a beautiful property in a lovely area spotlessly clean amazing facility’s lots of extras cereals good quality pants and crockery beds are some of the best I have slept in great rainfall shower head and awesome roll top bath a real relaxing place to stay the owner was super friendly even asked to check in a little earlier and he gladly accomadated us great guy I would have no problem with staying again in fact we planning it now as we speak absolutely 5 star

Lovely welcoming contemporary home.

The property was amazing ..very reasonably priced and lots of nice little touches...essentials like tea ,coffee ,breakfast cereal were provided. Lovely contemporary decor too .The owner was very obliging as I left a bag at the property and he dropped it off for me at the spa I was attending.I would highly recommend.

Great Base for Exploring County Durham

Kitchen well equipped, nice furniture and beds. There was only two of us, but it would have been comfortable for many more. Parking was easy, right in front of the property. Less than 10 minutes leisurely walk to town centre/bus/train, so a great base to explore County Durham more widely.

Very stylish house - a good base to visit Auckland Castle

Very stylishly decorated and furnished house. The kitchen was well-equipped for a short stay, though there is no dishwasher. The street is very pleasant , though the road is rather busy, and there is a bit of a walk (15-20 minutes) to the town centre/castle area. The owner is easy to communicate with and helpful.

There is nowhere to hang coats downstairs at all. This was a problem during our stay as it rained heavily all day and night so we were very wet when we came into the house and had to take sopping wet clothes upstairs to the bedrooms to hang them out. We also found the beds uncomfortable - very soft and bouncy.
