Very convenient for golf - I was playing Glasgow Gailes the following morning and it is lethally next door, with Western Gailes just a short jump further. Squeezed 9 holes in over Dundonald on arrival and then enjoyed an excellent seafood pasta in the Canny Craw overlooking the links. Accommodation comfortable though rather grey themed!

Beautiful bar area. Lodges were modern and well equipped.
Lack of air conditioning. There was a fan, but I didn’t find it particularly effective. In fairness though, the lack of air conditioning would rarely be a problem in Scotland!

Room very well appointed. Dinner excellent. Lovely light dining room. Staff very friendly and efficient.
Not really an hotel. A series of wooden huts in grounds of a golf clubhouse, so you can get wet and cold on way to and from dining room and bar. Rooms have lovely French windows, but they open onto some very rough grass and gorse. Cooked breakfast is precooked, and containers are warm at best. Scrambled egg like leather.
