Next ta Sea

Next ta Sea was fine. It was good value, and the room was basic, but fine. The staff were pleasant. The room had air conditioning.

I was pressured into leaving a review after checking out, with the manager asking to watch me submitting a review with all top scores before leaving. I didn't do this, and it's really unprofessional and uncomfortable. The reason this place has such high scores is due to this practice. Room cleaning could also be improved. There was still trash in some of the trash cans in the room from the previous guest.

Location is great, next to the beach which is ideal and relatively easy to find. Staff were supportive when I needed help. Decent air con and fan.

Felt obliged to write this review given the high scores across the board, especially the cleanliness rating of 9.1. So both my bed sheet and pillow were dirty - had inexplicable stains on them which made me feel very uneasy. I noticed both separately and got both changed on separate occasions. Asked why this wasn’t checked before I checked in. This experience degraded my confidence significantly and I started noticing other elements of the room that were filthy and not cleaned. I guess to an extent this is what comes with a beach hut but I think for £50 a night I can atleast expect the room to be spotless and to feel comfortable, not as though the cleaners haven’t done anything. The stains on the bedding made me feel upset and uncomfortable. The staff were on hand to change within minutes which is the only positive. Else there is loud music from next door bars until about 11pm which you can hear more or less every word of. You can’t securely lock the door from the inside which I didn’t mind so much but others might. External facing windows had thin curtains and I wasn’t sure how much privacy I really had which concerned me.
