Super cozy and cute

Amazing cabbin to enjoy Finnish nature ! It was very well equipped and the whole group enjoyed the facilities! hope to return😍 be aware that this is a traditional mökki (cabbin) and there’s no running water or water in toilets ( there’s a traditional outside toilet) but for us was not a problem!

An enchanting place nestled in the forest in front of a small lake, perfect for nature lovers!

An amazing place nestled in the forest with a lake available for all sorts of activities and to enjoy nature in its purity and simplicity. The sauna ritual and the lake baths were wonderful, the barbecue area is equipped with everything you need, and the little house is cozy and perfect. The bathroom is outside, surrounded by nature—essential. Collecting water from the well was also fun. Busy and happy. For lovers of peace and nature.

The only regret is that we couldn't use the hot tub, but there was so much else to do.

The essential Lapland experience

Deep in the woods, on the bank of the lake. Awesome wooden cabin with the sauna and all needed for life and fun. I cannot even name all the things are there, here are some: fishing rods, SUP boards, sauna, darts, batuut, rowing boat hot sauna bath, private pier, terrace etc.

Would be nice to get the info about the hot bath rent in the very beginning of the stay. We got it too late so did not use.

Incredible experience

Everything was perfect! We loved the cabin, the area and the beds. Incredible experience staying at the cabin. We loved using the sauna and taking cold baths in the lake. I would definitely recommend this accomodation to my friends and family.

Superb

The location is just perfect for someone who want to have a wilderness experience.. A total bliss of the most beautiful lakeview and forest covered in snow. A magical winterland. Sauna was the highlight of all our stay in Finland. It was an exceptional experience, it cannot be more authentic than this. We received always a quick and helpful reply from the owners to all our inquiries. Hose is very cosy and well equipped. We used the snowshoes, such a fun experience we had!

Collecting the key was easy but as I an not familiar with these kind of keys, actually we fidgeted quite a lot until we managed to get in :-) Also, the toilet is outside (obviously, its a house in the middle of nowhere) - I just wondered how fun it is in minus 20. But I actually had no issues with it. And - as everything in Finland - the price is relatively high.

A perfect active, sporty getaway from high-paced modern life.

Calm, quiet, natural, secluded but still close to Rovaniemi, ideal for disconnecting and getting back to the things that matter. We especially liked the sauna and the ceremony around it (bringing water, making the fire, warming up the sauna, bathing, etc.). Unique!

A stunning cabin in a beautiful location, but lacks running water

A cozy cabin in lovely surroundings, it made for an idyllic winter get away. It was amazing to get the opportunity to plunge into the frozen lake after the sauna. Having access to snow shoes and fishing gear made the winter experience all the more enjoyable.

There is a degree of false advertising through booking.com it was stated that there was a bathroom equipped with a shower. The bathroom is an outhouse and the cabin does not host running water. Water for a shower must be collected from the lake and heated in the sauna room (unless you don’t mind cold washes). And drinking water is collected from a well close by. This is a minor inconvenience for young persons willing and able, but less than convenient for older persons, as breaking the ice to collect water is a taxing activity.

*Hidden secret, perfect for Lapland*

We as a family of 2 adults and two children (8yrs & 11yrs) stayed for a family trip to Lapland. We absolutely loved the peacefulness, not a pindrop sound around us. The beautiful cabin set next to the frozen lake in the forest. Beds are very comfortable. Heating inside, aswell as a log burner. We used burner once and was too hot! Cuboards were fully stocked with all kitchen utensils needed , aswell as coffee sugar tea, foil, bin bags etc! We purchased some from supermarket when we didn't realise it was already there!! Definately bring some torches for the outside toilet! Sleds were available for children at the cabin! We didn't get chance to use the outdoor BBQ or sauna as we're so busy in the snow! We would love to return again in the summertime! Cabin is 2 x road from ROVANIEMI town centre, but in snow takes around 55minutes. Very easy to find using Google maps on phone, great communication from owners. I would recommend this cabin if your looking for a great location family holiday!

Really could do with getting running water, or a proper toilet. But we managed well!

More than expected

Everything was lovely. We were not expecting too much and were a bit scared about the absence of running water during the winter. The lake is full of water which can be used in winter for showering and the drinking water can be brought to the house. The location was amazing, far from everything and everyone but still not too far from the hotspots. The host was always supportive and explicative. It is a perfect place where to be with a good company!

Genial!!!

Exceptional location. Reemote enough but not to faar from the civilization. The place where you can hear your thoughts if you want. Nothing bothering you, silence and nature. Clean and well organized, cozy and worm. Hosts very good organized. We found inside more than we could think that we will need there. Torch, batteries, candels, a lot of things we did not thought about. We will sure return for the summer also. Thank you!!!

L impossibilité de se doucher. Il faut attendre plusieurs heures pour que le sauna soit chaud. En hiver, lorsque l’on n est pas longtemps dans le logement et qu il fait nuit toute la journée, ce n est pas pratiquable. Le chalet secondaire près du Sauna est assez mal isolé, très froid lorsque que dehors il fait moins 20!

Un luogo meraviglioso immerso nella natura e nella tranquillità con tutte le comodità possibili.

Uno dei posti più belli in cui abbiamo soggiornato. La posizione sul lago è meravigliosa, il cottage è bellissimo, pulito, con tutte le comodità. Regna il silenzio e la tranquillità. Un luogo eccezionale. Oltre al cottage c'è anche un'altra casetta per due persone, sempre bellissima, la sauna, un capanno con canne da pesca, legna, attrezzi per la pesca nel ghiaccio e altre mille cose. A disposizione una barchetta. Dovrei proseguire per altre dieci righe. C'è tutto. E c'è più di quello che ci si possa mai aspettare. Il proprietario è disponibile e risponde rapidamente a qualsiasi domanda. Si potrebbe dire che il bagno esterno è scomodo. Per noi è stata un'altra occasione per un soggiorno particolare e immerso nella natura. Torneremo appena possibile.

Sehr ruhige lage. Vor Ort hat viele verschiedene Ausstattungen: Paddelboot, Sauna, Steg, Wasserbrunnen...

Weit entfernt vom Supermarkt und anderen Läden. Nächste Stadt ist Rovaniemi mit etwa einer Stunde fahrt. Zudem gibt es keine Dusche aber mich hat das nicht gestört, da man sich in der Sauna waschen kann.

Un soggiorno indimenticabile: sauna, grigliate, natura e libertà

posizione perfetta, isolata e immersa nella natura proprio come piace a me. Il fatto di avere il nostro spazio privato senza essere disturbati è impagabile. Eccezionale l'aver a disposizione la propria sauna e zona grill. Il lago ghiacciato aveva un certo fascino. Avevamo tutto ciò che ci serviva per rendere questa vacanza indimenticabile.

Non ho lati negativi da esporre. Manca l' acqua corrente ma non è un problema, il lago ne ha a sufficienza. Magari il bagno chimico appartato può creare problemi per alcune persone ma fa parte del gioco.

Wir waren begeistert. Die tolle Lage am See mitten im Wald. Herrliche Ruhe. Das tolle Haus mit dem gemütlichen Ofen. Die Immer offene Badestelle im See. Wir haben die Sauna fast jeden Tag genutzt, und auch dort mittels Schöpfkelle geduscht. In der Grillkota haben wir und Flammlachs gegrillt. Es gab genügend Brennholz. Schneeschuhe, und alles zum Eisangeln ist vorhanden. Ja die Toilette ist 15 m von Haus entfernt, unbeheit und ein Kompostklo. Duschen ist ohne gleichzeitiges Saunieren bei Frost nicht möglich. Einen Mietwagen braucht man unbedingt. Für uns war es fantastisch. Zudem hatten wir jeden Abend Polarlichter

Tuvalet dışarda ve tuvaletin içerisi pislik doluydu. Oraya kimse tuvalete giremez. Tuvalet denilen yerde de zaten su ve rezervuar yok sadece tuvalet olsun diye klozet konulmuş. Banyo da yok banyo yapmak için öncelikle saunayı yakmanız gerek. Saunayı yakmak için gölden su taşımanız gerek denmiş. Saunada duş alabilirsiniz deniyor. Duş almak için müthiş bir zahmete girmeniz gerek. Göldeki su temiz mi kirli mi siz düşünün benim beyaz kıyafetlerim sarıya dönmüştü. Evin içinde de az su vardı. Bulaşıkları yıkayabilmek için kuyudan su çekmeniz gerek.

Hyvin viihtyisä ja sopii jopa 8 hengen ryhmälle. Mielestäni kannattaa vuokrata auto, sillä ei ole bussiliikennettä sinne ja taksit kalliita.

Suihkussa käyminen oli vaikeaa sillä piti käydä ulkona olevassa saunassa ja oli vaikea valmistaa suihku vettä

Enorm genoten van de omgeving en accommodatie.

De lokatie is prachtig, wat een uitzicht! Wij vonden het leuk om een buiten verblijf te hebben in Lapland. Waar je weer ervaart hoe het is om moeite te moeten doen voor alle luxe die je normaal in een huis hebt. Vele ritten met de auto gemaakt naar prachtige plekken in de omgeving. Een prachtige witte wereld!

Weinig kastruimte voor kleding. Maar het voordeel daarvan was dat er genoeg voorraad was van linnengoed en dagelijkse produkten die je nodig had.

Bookingin sivuilla puhuttiin "kylpyhuoneesta" siellä pitäisi olla selkeästi: ulkokäymälä ja peseytyminen saunassa. 120cm sänky ei ole kahdelle aikuiselle parisänky. Levitettävä sohva, jollainen siellä oli, on sellainen. Eli nukkumapaikkoja oli kuudelle.

Un séjour inoubliable

L’authenticité …. Le chalet est superbe, cosy et la vue est splendide. Le calme est absolu… nous n’avons vu personne de notre séjour. Il n’y a pas l’eau courante mais nous connaissions la donne… cela a beaucoup amusé notre fils d’aller chercher l’eau au lac ! Le sauna est un réel plaisir le soir venu. Les hôtes sont très réactifs et répondent très vite à chaque demandes. Merci à eux.

Le manque de rangements… aucune armoire n’était disponible pour nos affaires personnelles. Nous avons donc dû vivre une semaine avec 3 valises ouvertes en plein milieu de la chambre. Ce qui n’était pas très pratique !
