Barn Hills

Great place which is very relaxed. 5 min tuktuk off the main strip of Ella - owner arranges tuktuks as required which makes it very easy. The place is clean and whilst there isn’t AC the fans in the room are useful. The breakfasts are good and the owner is keen to make sure you have a happy stay!

Toilet was terrible dirty which is not acceptable (no matter what the price of stay is) I don’t get the other reviewers for excellent breakfast… it is sugar with sugar. We have stayed in Sri Lanka for 15 days at different places and experienced real Sri Lanka food and breakfast. It should definitely improved. What we have surprised is that they charged for Tuk Tuk for Ella city center. I am not saying it must be free, but we have to get informed if it is subject to price. So please check it in advance. Building itself still under construction, entrance is messy, kitchen area not acceptable…. There are many other places around with same view either cheaper or gives more for similar price.
