We had a brilliant time staying at Nine Arch Wood Cabin. The rooms are enormous, spotless, and have everything you need. Our host was kind and attentive, and we had the biggest and best breakfast we’ve enjoyed in Sri Lanka while we were there.
The hotel is a little further out of Ella town centre, but we enjoyed the walk down the hill into town and we were extremely close to both Ella Rock and Nine Arch bridge, so really recommend it as a place to stay if you want to enjoy those sites.

Överdådig frukost på uteplats med vacker utsikt över gröna kullar och dalar. Boendet är funktionellt och fyllde våra förväntningar på ett boende på landsbygden uppe bland teplantagen i de Sri lankesiska höglandskapet.
Rummet var vad man kan förvänta sig, relativt enkelt men funktionellt och stor yta. Dock kan det sägas vara lite kallt och ganska basic. Duschen har ingen kabin eller kanter för vattnet så duschar man så rinner det ut i hela badrummet. Det är visserligen en mycket vanlig lösning på Sri Lanka. Vi sökte utsikt så utifrån det perspektivet är boendet bra men var medveten om att det är en 20 minuters promenad ner till centrum (om du inte tar en tuk tuk) och lite krångligt med backar och promenad på trafikerade vägar.

Best breakfast in Sri Lanka! The owner is very kind, we arrived late and had to leave early but she still made a great packed breakfast for our hike! It was deeeeelicious! The place is spotless. She clearly had taken any previous feedback into account and actioned it to make the place better! Not accessible by car but the owner will arrange a tuk tuk to pick you up from the road.
Wish we had stayed longer!
