It was very clean....beautiful house and garden in a peaceful countryside environment ❤️

We liked everything!!

The place is quite beautiful set amongst farmlands and is a grand historic building building. The beds were comfortable and the WiFi good.

Our host was the husband who clearly under normal circumstances had nothing to do with the accommodation, but his wife was away. He seemed pleasant enough at first, but barged in in the evening without knocking or requesting permission to enter the space we had rented to instruct us that we were not permitted to use the kitchen. Absolutely bizarre. We had been to the shops to purchase food to cook dinner as there are no restaurants anywhere nearby and he wouldn't let us use the over or the cooktop. Ended up locking the door to his adjoining accommodation upstairs to keep him out and cooking the sausages we had bought in the microwave as he had said we could use this. Ludicrous. Also, the two dogs at the property are lovely but are senile and barked all night which kept waking us up. For those who are not confident drivers also be aware that the road in is single lane with deep ditches either side. One of the reasons why we chose to cook at the accommodation. Finally, the breakfast, whilst generous in options and proportions consisted entirely of prepurchased poor quality pastries and the like in plastic.
