Clean pod lovely location

Facilities don’t stay open long enough, shop/cafe stays open till 3pm that’s not good enough when your travelling from far away and then you have to go out and find someone to eat. toilet/shower block need updating showers stay on for literally 3 seconds so lime scaled up water doesn’t flow properly. Taps in the sink the same water so hot it scolds you. Toilets disgusting.

The location is perfect, the view is stunning from the top row of camping pods. Bed linen was all clean for us to put onto the beds on arrival, welcome pack was full of all the information we needed and all of the staff across the site were very friendly. Coffee was good in the café and the children loved the play areas too.

It’s a steep hill to get down to the swimming pool and café and the facilities block is quite dated. It was in an awful state most mornings (although I think this might have been to do with the large group of campers staying near the block sadly). We did also get a lot of ants in the pod.

The pod was more spacious than I had feared prior to arrival, it was perfect for a couple of nights between a family of four. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the location was lovely. Massive bonus to have the use of the swimming pool and courts included free of charge! We didn’t bother paying for the WiFi- there was some phone signal (it was unreliable but did the job for us) and we didn’t want to be stuck to screens anyway. The washing facilities were ok, but I discovered that the individual shower and WC rooms just behind our main block were much better. The site was a short drive from both Charmouth beach and Lyme Regis (about 5mins to Charmouth beach, around 10 to Lyme Regis) which was perfect for us. It was also quiet on site, which made for a very peaceful setting. All in all, we had a really good time and my teen and child daughters are both keen to stay there again.

I think some lights to guide the way to the toilet block would have been beneficial at night. We also had some problems locking the door of our pod, which may be an issue for some people.
