We loved the Duchally estate and the lodge was lovely and warm, however our stay was spoilt with the loss of water in on

The lodge was lovely, very well furnished and had been decorated for Xmas which was a nice touch. The Duchally Club and Hotel are lovely, restaurant is good value and we enjoyed the leisure pool. The staff are very friendly.

This property is not owned by Duchally so we had to rely on the owner of the property who was not very helpful when we lost all water in one of the 2 bathrooms and the fast Wifi never worked when we were there. This had an effect of the TV reception.

Ian was also very accommodating nothing was a problem and quick replies when looking for information and having a late check out which was no problem to arrange.

Relaxing cottage, good leisure facilities, close to Auchterarder and Perth only 30 min

Lovely decor, comfortable bed, nice touches like Christmas tree and stockings. It was very cold when we were there so the blankets provided were welcome, as was the sauna and hot tub in the leisure facilities.

Food in the onsite restaurant felt overpriced for the quality, which was not great. We only ate there once and had a more enjoyable menu but when we self catered in the cottage.

This is a great location for anything around Gleneagles. Site is great - we were just happy to book a lodge for a few days but having a bar, restaurant and leisure centre on site is great

Lovely stay would happily return!

The lodge was well decorated, spacious and quite well maintained. (Private, so no dog smell.) From the outside the lodges are lovely and the interior did not disappoint. The surroundings are gorgeous with lots of trees and hedges. Nice to have a hotel on site with a bar/restaurant and we loved the duckpond and chickens too, as well as the on site pheasant! I liked the pool but it's VERY small for the number of lodges. It says it has two pools but it's half a pool with a small jacuzzi and a tiny toddler pool. The kitchen was well equipped and the DVD's and games etc a nice touch. Super to have a games room but it's way too small. It needs a jukebox and a dartboard, or make an area for a dartboard away from children. Lovely staff too. Great they use wood pellets to warm the pool. They need a recycling bin for cans and plastic outside as I left recycling at the bar. I liked the idea of Swing Ball and Connect 4 on the lawn but the equipment had seen a hard summer. A great place though. I'd return as would the family by consensus.

Nice but VERY small pool. +/- Steam room nice but needed yellow/black tape over the lip at the door +/- Lodge was nicely decorated but needed a wooden chair or pegs to hang things over (No chair or peg in twin bedroom). Both the master bedroom and landscape blinds were a bit dusty with divots out if them and the master bedroom door handle and cupboard downstairs door handle were lose. The grey sofa dipped in theidfle and had a hard ledge. It was also too low for older people to get up/down. The hotel was quite pricey to eat so we ate out. Had they somewhere more reasonable on site, we would have eaten there. The wee cafe is nice but has limited choice. They need a wee shop for milk and forgotten essentials. With the space the estate has, they could renovate an old villa into a proper games room; with ping pong, darts, pool and maybe even a yoga studio. Guests would appreciate more facilities were it raining or bad weather and with a wee on site store and sit in bakery/coffee shop it gives choice.

Beautiful estate, peaceful, well kept with excellent amenities on hand.

Lodge was really comfortable with everything we needed for our stay and celebration and I loved free use of the swimming pool. Parking right outside the lodge was also fantastic, as I had a lot of luggage to unload, due to weekend being a celebration for my daughter’s 30th Birthday with an 86 year old in tow!

Beautiful lodge, not so beautiful housekeeping/maintenance!

Beautiful location & gorgeous view from the balcony overlooking the gardens. Layout of the lodge also really lovely, plenty space for the 5 of us to stay. Comfy sofas & beds.

Although the property itself was great, a few jobs were needing doing, doorknobs on cupboard doors were loose, master bedroom window wouldn't open for fresh air, and no handle on door to master bedroom. Used, old bin bags just dumped outside our main door on arrival & noone took them away, lots of wasps around the bin due to old rubbish, at risk of being stung on entering & leaving property. On arrival we also noticed the champagne bucket on balcony was full of cigarette butts, nasty to see & smell. There was dried blood on the bathtub in master bedroom. Came across someone's Ozempic with needles in airing cupboard. Hairdryer in master bedroom sparked & blew up on using it, very dangerous, thought plugs had to be safety tested? Lodge/Surrounding area & leisure centre all fantastic but housekeeping & maintenance were negligent of a few factors. Did report it, but only got a little sorry...again felt customer care was poor here for a luxury resort.

En suites were in need of tlc. Shower rail partly off wall. Sealant and grouting needing replacing . Good clean of doors required. Patio furniture bit green so marked clothes. Remove wasps nesting near patio as wasps on patio seats and table.

Spacious lodge, beautiful. Pool was ideal for 3 young children. Lovely, well-kept grounds.

A nice touch would have been some essentials in the lodge that you would get in hotel rooms/air bnbs. I.e coffee/tea, sugar sachets etc. even salt/pepper - small touches that make self-catering that wee bit easier. Hard to fault the lodge itself though!

Nice lodge, good facilities with 2 bathrooms /2 bedrooms and separate living room. The leisure club was also well maintained and the staff are friendly. Good dog friendly bar.

Relaxing, peaceful and scenic.

The property was modern very stylish and kept very clean. It was a lovely location which allowed us to take in the beauty of Scotland and the peace of the country too!

The dishwasher didn’t seem to clean the dishes as best as we would have liked so had to hand wash and couldn’t find a sponge but made do. Some of the pots didn’t seem to work with the conduction hob too.

Quiet break but accommodation needs updating and cleaned thoroughly

Spacious and quiet

Interior very dark and tired in areas. Broken slats in blinds, cushions on couch burst, paint scuffed. Coffee table had seen better days and was covered in dust and dog hair, kitchen cupboard had sticky , greasy finger marks on the door and toilet wax stained.

A most pleasant stay in a cosy, comfortable lodge.

The lodge was comfortable, well appointed and nicely furnished. The heating system has been recently upgraded and it was warm and cosy…important when there was snow outside! (Can recommend a You Tube fire to add to the atmosphere!) We used the gym, pool, jacuzzi and sauna a lot, a great way to warm up after a cold day. We had absolutely everything we needed. The internet was effective and fast. Communication with the owner was excellent.

The Duchally Estate has excellent facilities, but this privately owned lodge was well below standard

The location and the estate facilities were very good

The lodge was not as well maintained as CLC lodges on the estate. No instructions for kitchen appliances, Wi-Fi didn't work. Television was not functioning correctly and with no instructions. No hanging space for clothes in bedrooms as wardrobes and cupboards filled with duvets, pillow and bed linen. No space in the lounge for clothes to accommodate the people on the sofa bed as cupboard filled with cleaning stuff and towels. A very disappointing stay and very over priced for the standard we had. We have been to Duchally on several occasions and this privately owned lodge was definitely not up to the CLC standards we are accustomed to.
