A great location for a family visit to Stirling

We had an absolutely fantastic stay. House was easy to find and very comfortable, there was ample parking for three cars and a shop very close by. Neighbourhood was lovely and quiet. Garden was a lovely enclosed space perfect for sitting and enjoying the summer nights.

Comfortable and thoughtful, with room for improvement

The house is very spacious with plenty of room, which made it great for a comfortable stay. The enclosed garden and large driveway were real positives, and the location is excellent - close to local amenities as well as sights and historical monuments. It was also very easy to find. The kitchen is a good size and includes a nice range of appliances. The Christmas decorations were a lovely, thoughtful touch, and the host clearly made a real effort to make the stay feel special. Any request was accommodated and that was highly appreciated.

The property would benefit from a bit more attention to cleaning. Some areas felt a little grubby, with sticky kitchen surfaces and a few cobwebs noticeable around the house. There was also a shortage of cutlery, which made cooking and eating slightly inconvenient. The bins were full on arrival and could do with being emptied before guests arrive.

Beautiful, comfortable and well presented house.

There was good parking. The property was welcoming and very clean and tidy. There was everything you needed to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The garden was fully enclosed and beautifully looked after.

Great House for a Group Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Craigard House. We were a group of 7, and the property was a perfect size for us – spacious, clean, and comfortable. All the rooms are en suite, which was very convenient. The back garden is lovely, and the kitchen is large and practical, though it could do with some updated kitchenware. Overall, a great place for a group stay.

The kitchen lights were also a bit temperamental and sometimes needed switching on and off a few times before working.

Perfect venue for a wonderful family break

Location was perfect - quiet residential area, 5 mins drive to Stirling centre, 20 min walk to Wallace Monument. Bus stop across the road. Co-op food store 1 min walk from property. All rooms have an en-suite so fantastic for groups. Well furnished kitchen with all you could need. Lovely private outdoor space. Host communicated very well. We loved our stay and would book this property again in a heartbeat.

We had a fabulous trip and found the location and comfort of the house a big part of that

The house is opposite a bus stop, with frequent buses into the centre with its Old Town and high streets. It is also near to the Wallace Monument. The house is very spacious and comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. It was wonderful to have ensuite bedrooms with showers, and even a bath in one. This enhanced our stay, as did use of the washing machine and tumble drier on our last day. There is also a very nice, well-maintained garden with patio furniture which our autistic son particularly enjoyed sitting out in Dee was helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage early, since we had travelled in from another part of Scotland (part of our holiday) via coach / bus which arrived early in Stirling. This allowed us to start our Stirling activities straightaway.

There was no hot water from the taps but we easily managed by using the water from the numerous shower units.

Great place to stay for a family with grown up kids and partners, or a few couples.

Fantastic property with ensuite facilities in every room. The kitchen and y=utility room facilities were also very good. The garden is enclosed and private and perfect for a dog to lay out and enjoy. The proximity to the Wallace Monument (15-20 minute walk) was an added bonus.

The grass in the back garden had not been cut for a long time and the dandelion seeds got on clothes and the dog. The neighbours taste in music was thankfully eclectic enough as they were playing it loud enough for everyone close by to hear.

Location is great close to everything including bus route and historic sites House is beautiful and has all amenities

Very pleasant stay, solid facilities, plenty of space.

Hosts were fantastic. Any issues encountered they attended to immediately, for example some minor dishwasher maintenance. The 4th shower wasn't working so we shared for a day or two but they came and replaced the shower unit one day while we were out. That was nice.

This is a nit, but the big room on the right side of the house could be better configured as the back half of that room is completely lost to social use. That's just my opinion but I would arrange furniture and TV to engage the entire space as it is HUGE.

Great stay for family reunion!

The spacious property was perfect for our family reunion having 4 bedrooms, each with ensuites. The location was great; grocery store next door and bakery across the street. It’s only a few minutes by car or bus to Stirling centre, the castle and attractions. The host was attentive and met us on arrival. We had a great stay!

Wonderful space, good amenities. Huge kitchen and dining area with comfy lounge. Essential amenities provided and all rooms with ensuites. Loved the Christmas tree and fireplace!

Poor lighting in the laundry room. Needed more utensils such as exyrra chopping board.

Superb, spacious , comfortable and well appointed home from home in a lovely location. Having en-suites in all bedrooms plus an additional downstairs toilet was such a bonus particularly as we were there as a family for a wedding.

An excellent family stay in a very spacious, well appointed and scrupulously clean house. Comfortable beds Good sized ensuite in 2 rooms with good showers Excellent location Ample car parking Handy Co-op next door.

More generous towel allocation for a 4night stay would be appreciated. 2 thin bath towels + 1 small towel insufficient for 2 people. Ensuites very 'tight' in 2 rooms but showers good. Pressure low in bathroom sink taps.

Conveniently located for any trip to Stirling!

The house was really nice and comfortable, the facilities were good and the location was excellent! There is a small shop right next door and you're one a major bus route into the city so it is extremely convenient - but not noisy. Ample parking. Beds comfortable, and all rooms being en-suite is a nice bonus.

We had some issues with the key collection but this was really swiftly resolved by the host and we were extremely appreciative of the speed that they reacted.

Clean place, ample space, convenient location (bus stop right in front, not too far from university or Wallace Tower). This place was fantastic and helped ensure a wonderful time spent in Stirling.
