Beautiful and peaceful cottage

A really lovely place to stay and the owners are very welcoming and helpful. Quiet location, lovely surroundings, enclosed garden and great walks nearby were all perfect for the dogs. The cottage itself is clean, cosy, comfortable and very well provisioned. Highly recommend

Quiet and peaceful.

Location was great. Quiet and Idilic.

Disappointed that we had to buy a kettle to use at property, as the one there was not fit for purpose, having a baby to make bottles for the kettle in a mess inside, lots of cobwebs, and the bed I had was not safe very unstable I had to sleep on sofa, that’s why we left early.

Enjoyable Stay at Arndean Over Christmas

Great location, near all required amenities, but remote enough to be relaxing. Good view of the Ochils at the end of the driveway. Accommodation was clean and spacious

This cottage is a gem of a place and the host is very accommodating. Cannot recommend it more. No amenities within walking distance which is not a problem for us so we had a thoroughly wonderful time and cannot wait to come back.

Fantastic cottages and location for a family holiday

The two cottages were booked together and our family of nine were spread across both. The larger cottage was big enough for us to all congregate for meals and socialising. We stayed over Christmas and did a lot of cooking at the cottages and the kitchens were very well equipped. All of the rooms: public, kitchen and bedrooms, were large and comfortable. The cottages were warm and had a homely comfort about them as well as being functional. The location is good for grocery shopping (which we mainly did in Alloa - about 8 miles away) and great for walking. There is nice walks straight from the cottage door and really lovely walks in the hills behind Dollar, where you get a lot of reward for just an hour or two walking.

Lovely cottage, well appointed with everything needed and plenty of space. Location a bit out of the way meaning a car was essential, but only 10 minutes drive from 2 lovely villages and the Japanese Gardens.

Situated in lovely surroundings, Blashie Cottage was ideal, and we have booked again for next year.

With all bedrooms on the ground floor and access ramp at the back door, Blashie Cottage was ideal for us, having a family member in a wheelchair and an old greyhound. Decor and fittings all looked brand new and everything was perfectly clean on arrival. Johnny made us very welcome.

Minor points but a couple of the couches were a wee bit 'saggy' and the Wifi router could be placed more centrally in the cottage. As the walls are so thick, the signal struggled to reach the far end of the cottage. However, given all the positives, these were minor points.

Beautiful property in very picturesque setting. Both Johnny our host and his mother were very welcoming and helpful. Property had everything you needed and more, was warm comfortable and exceptionally well furnished. Location was perfect for us and the grandkids loved the addition of the games room .

Golf trip

Location was great so peaceful with lovely views. Host very welcoming and property was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space for 14 adults and two dogs to move around!!

Wouldn’t mark property down but slightly disappointed there were no individual hand towels for guests only bath towels although each bathroom did have hand towel in place.

Wow! The house was way above expectations! We were a group of four couples celebrating a 30th Birthday and we had such a great time! Within an hour of pretty much everything, the location was perfect for a day in the Ochils and kayaking on Loch Lomond. The kitchen was well equipped which was great as we cooked every night together. We loved the social spaces like the games rooms, the terrace where we would sit and watch the owls, bats and pheasants around the area and the lounge room for cards and reading. The beds were very comfy. Two bedrooms were twins, one king and a double. The bathroom facilities were great as we never ran out of hot water despite there being so many of us! The host Johnny was very welcoming and we are so grateful for our stay together. Thank you so much!

Superb

We were surprised at the size it was huge, the grandkids enjoyed the games room, there was everything we needed there, it was nice having a separate garden, the kitchen was great all the goods you would need even a washer dryer.

My son and his partner said the mattress on the bed in the biggest double room was very soft and lumpy they couldn’t sleep, my other son in his 30’s was in single bedroom with the raised bed and he never got a good sleep as bed was too short the single beds are okay for kids.

A blissful and calming retreat.

This is a gorgeous cottage in a stunning and peaceful location. Johnny, our host, was very helpful but not intrusive, he has thought of everything you need and more besides. The new power shower alone is enough to make me come back. A wee slice of heaven.

Excellent cottage

We had a excellent stay at Arndean cottage, we stayed in the Ochil cottage and it will easy fit two families of four compatibly. On arrival we was welcomed by Johnny and he told us about the local area, one of his recommendations was a walk up to the castle in Dollar. It was amazing and we would definitely recommend, my only advise is take water and its more of a hike than a leisurely stroll but it is 100% worth it. Dollar it self is a lovely area with a deli, bakery ,butchers etc. The garden at the property was excellent for our two children to play with a football and it was enclosed and safe for our two dogs to enjoy. We cant wait to return !!

Great location,plenty of local walks and very close to Dollar its self which has plenty to offer.
