booking.com these guesthouses should be carefully supervised.

Nothing

They initially gave us a fake password, then made us call them. Even though they lived next door, we had to talk on the phone for ages in the cold. Finally, they came out from next door, then said they didn't have a key, then said the tenant inside had locked the front door. In short, don't rent from them. Booking.com should also be held responsible for making us waste our money.

Great location, comfy bed, quiet house and street

Comfy bed, easy to find, easy access even without host here, ample street parking, £5 uber to Old Trafford Stadium so ideal if you’re here for the football, never met the host but they provided me very clear instructions about everything via booking.com and text which is all I needed.

This isn’t a bad point for me, but if you’re looking for luxury just book the Hilton instead, but the price is good for the location.

Awful

I was given less than 2 hours notice that I wouldn't be staying at the Bird Song Guest House Old Trafford due to an issue with a current tenant who was having housing difficulties and that I would be staying at a property called Green View Guest House. When confirmation of the new property came through, I was only given the street and not the number so had to go online to try and establish which property it was. When we arrived at the property, all 3 of the fire alarms are still covered with their fire alarm caps, meaning the host is endangering lives as these wouldn't detect a fire should there be one. There is a major leak in the kitchen which has 2 buckets under it. The bin in the kitchen is filthy and looks like it has been there for many months. I was informed the heating wasn't on and should I wish to put it on, I would need to go down into the cellar. I am shocking booking.com are working with a host and property such as this. The photo's below are of Green View Guest House and not Bird Song Guest House.

This house was way below the standard you would expect to find on Booking.com. Would not recommend

House was located in a quiet neighbourhood

House did not have a kitchen table with chairs. we had to use a small coffee table. Kitchen utensils were dirty and old. We had to go and purchase new glasses, tea towels and kitchen cleaning products for our stay. There was no separate living room available. Kitchen area was also the living area. kitchen seating area was very uncomfortable All mattresses were very old and you could feel the springs when sleeping. No additional blankets were available Towels were very old and dated. We ended up having to buy our own.

Good location for MU fans and mid-east food lovers

The host, Maureen was very helpful. Location was superb because we were there to watch soccer match at Old Trafford Stadium. Took us 20 minutes walk to the stadium. As per name given, we really can hear birds chipping every morning. Easy to get food as there are a lot of restaurants in the surrounding area. Will recommend this property to those who plan a trip to Old Trafford.

Since Manchester is so wet during winter, to have a dryer after washing the clothes would be much appreciated.
