This is a great place; comfortable, clean and welcoming in a good area of Dundee for independent shops and cafes. No breakfast, but the room has a kitchen so you can do your own or, like us, head for a local cafe. Very comfy bed and good bathroom. Great bus service into the city. We went to the Verdant Works jute museum, the V&A and the Botanic Gardens and all were accessible from this location. We had two meals out - both very good. Particularly liked the Agakhan, a fun Turkish restuarant. Great value for money.
Nothing - I liked everything about it.

The virtual check in and out was easy and quick, room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed, the hosts kept in contact, and were available if needed.
Bed was very comfortable and shower room a delight. The entrance to the hotel is so beautiful along with all the decor, loved the cushions.
Close to the city, with many shops along the way.
The view of the river Tay was brilliant.
Would definitely stay again when visiting Dundee.
Had to leave.

Lovely big airy room with high ceilings - very clean
I'm not so keen on the Alexa 'receptionist' - but that's just me not really liking tech.

Lovely stylish apartment within beautiful old victorian building. Recently renovated to a high standard. 5 minutes walk away from great bars, restaurants on Perth Rd. Owner of hotel was their to greet us on arrival and gave good tips of where to eat, drink and see etc. Would definitely book again. Was first time in Dundee and everyone very friendly and welcoming.

This is a beautiful little gem! Completely unexpected! The hotel is a refurbished old house, which they kept all (or most) of the original features and incorporated them into the hotel. The view of the river from my room was spectacular first thing in the morning. The room I stayed in was so clever in the way the bathroom was added a high-ceilinged room. The bathroom was not only spotlessly clean, but the soap, shampoo, etc were quality. I loved all the quirky decor, with gold accents around. I was very impressed with the way they have really modernised with Alexa and motion sensors. It felt quite personalised. Not only was there coffee and tea, with fresh milk in the room, but a Dundee cake. What a lush touch!
I can't fault a single thing!

The proximity to Dundee city centre was very useful, very helpful host and cleaning staff. The room was excellent with very good facilities and a good shower.
Possibly add a toaster? otherwise it could not be better.

Stunning decor and setting, the space is luxurious. We loved our stay as our room had a fabulous view, was very large and equipped with everything we needed and so much more. Very comfortable super king sized bed. The kitchenette was a great bonus.
We liked everything.

The hotel is full of character and has nice interior design and smart appliance features. It is located a short walk from a number of bars, restaurants, and shops as well as having a lovely view of the River Tay when you step out the front door. It was great to have free parking right at the hotel as that was not an option with several of the hotels in the area.
The room was quiet and felt like we had a lot of privacy. As soon as we checked in (using Alexa in the room), we were contacted via text by someone called Kenny who was really pleasant and helpful. That same evening, we couldn't find the 'Do Not Disturb' sign in the room and by the time we had returned from dinner with friends, a new sign was waiting for us on the door. Although we didn't make much use of the kitchenette as we were eating out a lot, it was still handy to have it there to make a coffee or quick bowl of cereal. Cutlery, crockery, a hob, fridge, and microwave were all provided as well as a range of teas, coffees, and a Dundee cake and biscuits, which was a lovely touch. Housekeeping staff were very pleasant to talk to and the room and communal areas were very clean.
We would be very happy to stay here again when we are back to visit our friends.
We liked everything. The only comment I would make (and this is me being really picky) is that it would have been nice to have slightly bigger bath towels.

The Clarendon is a little out of the way, but it has wonderful charm and cleanliness. I enjoyed my view of the river from my room window. Very comfortable and pleasing accommodations.

The decor and finishes are nice, it was clean and comfortable. Liked the large tv and the convenient plug ins around the bed
Being an old building you’re going to make every noise when the floor cracks every place you step and you’re also going hear every noise and sometimes it’s not just street noise- I had two nights of a child in an adjacent room screaming bloody murder in the middle of the night and then one night someone was pounding on the wall like they were nailing something with a hammer and then it sounded like a nail gun but it was around 4am.
Also, the bathroom was cute but with the way they have to be configured it’s a bit cramped if you’re a tall person and the shower was great but the floor was so slippery I was afraid I was going to fall.

Everything. First of all, you can park for free near the accommodation without any problems. The guest house is beautiful, a typical Victorian house. Upon entering, the style changes, revealing an atmosphere brimming with creative energy and a touch of baroque. Our room (The Jenny) is wonderful! Spacious, uniquely furnished, and offering a sea view so captivating it makes you want to stay there forever. Near the bow window is a delightful nook for breakfast, lunch or dinner, which we absolutely loved. The owner is very nice and helpful. He explained to us (even though the app already provided all the necessary information) how the home automation works, specifying that if we didn't want Alexa active, we could also disable it. Furthermore, as soon as we arrived, we found a delightful gift waiting for us. No spoilers, you'll have to discover it for yourself :-). Even the coffee was a pleasant surprise. The room is essentially a charming studio apartment equipped with all the comforts. Furthermore, there's also the option of using the laundry service, a real plus. The accommodation is also located in a very quiet area, close to several restaurants serving a variety of cuisines and supermarkets. We ended our road trip around Scotland in this accommodation and it was the best way to spend the last few days.
Nothing.

Very comfortable and luxurious - a little bit away from the centre but fine and well located. Tea and coffee and cake was a nice treat.
All good. Didn’t see any staff on the premises until we checked out (it’s set up with automated check in, we came in later than expected) but always able to reach out to call or message someone if needed.

The house was absolutely beautiful, and the rooms were very clean and the host was very kind and cooperative before and during our stay. The king-size bedroom on the ground floor was spacious, elegant, and offered a stunning view of the lake it also had a small, very equipped kitchen corner. Even though it’s on the ground floor, the house sits more than five steps above the street, making it comfortable to open the windows.
The other bedroom is in the attic, accessible via a steep staircase. While the room itself has a breathtaking view of the lake and the gardens .
Overall, it’s a wonderful place, and I would definitely stay again if the temperature is below
21°
There was no air conditioning in the rooms, which we were aware of before arriving, but the heat wave came as a surprise. Both rooms were very hot, and the fan in the attic room was not very effective on such a warm day. Unfortunately, we couldn’t leave the windows open at night due to insects and the easy accessibility from outside. Otherwise, the fresh air from outside would have solved the problem.

Lovely big bright room with quirky decor. Great location for a city visit. Alexa as a host was a great edition to a modern hotel.
We were on the ground floor so there was a wee bit of noise from movement on the first floor.

All good. Hotel is in the west end area of Dundee close to restaurants, amenities and on a bus route. Easy parking.. Property is well maintained and we liked having a code for entry. Alexa available and having full information on local restaurants/coffee shops etc made for a relaxed, informed stay. Staff member in background, on hand if needed.
Nothing, enjoyed the experience

This was a building of some vintage, immaculately and tastefully decorated throughout. It was exceptionally clean in all areas.
There was nothing to dislike.
8.0 / 10.0
Very spacious room on the ground floor, comfortable bed & extremely knowledgeable owner provided number of tips to do & eat in the area. Really liked the Alexa receptionist & curtain opening on command by Alexa too.
Also enjoyed the close proximity of local restaurants and cafes. Really loved the Más - mexican kitchen with trully mexican flavours.
Rather quite small bathroom, but very clean & nice shower.
Being straight on a street, a bit noisy in the morning hours when traffic passes.
