Loved the hotel and would stay there again.

I had a room on the second floor and I loved how my view looked from the room. It was a view of the mountains. I also liked the cleanliness of the room and our stay was very good. Loved how it was close to the police station just in case if anything went wrong.

Smelly, unclean, unhelpful staff, no water

Location was decent. Self check-in was helpful

First off, we thought there was a problem with the drains, because the whole room and bathroom stank of sewage. After requesting a room clean, the smell almost left, revealing they hadn't bothered to clean the bathroom before we got there. As well, there's a difference between low water pressure and no water. We had no water, meaning we couldn't get clean. It's really bad, we were sold a room with an ensuite and the shower didn't work, and we were offered no compensation or alternative shower to use. The facilities were severely lacking. There's no communal bathroom to use outside of the room. We checked out an hour early and came back to pick up luggage and asked to use the bathroom, we were turned away because the cleaners were apparently cleaning. We could clearly see they were cleaning on the ground floor, we were on the first floor... The photos are misleading - the deck photos you see here are outside by the front gate, not by the room. They are also smaller, and a tiny spiral staircase to get up. The staff weren't helpful and more importantly didn't care. We mentioned the 0 water in the shower and they just kind of said deal with it. They were just watching stuff on their phones. There is a communal kitchen area but it's dingy and gross, I wouldn't feel comfortable cooking there. Overall, the listing is very misleading, no working shower, no outdoor space by rooms, and unclean on arrival. Plus the unhelpful staff, I would strongly recommend you go elsewhere.

The shower had only a small drizzle of hot water, so you had to shower cold. There were some ants in the room.

Decent stay for short stays

You get what you paid for. Cheap hotel, small room. Self checkin is convenient. Hotel in walking distance to many restaurants. Looked better on the pictures. Little dark in the room. Water pressure basically non-existent…don’t expect a decent shower there. Was good enough for our 1 night during our travel to the west coast.

Great location and very quiet

Staff were friendly and polite. The room was clean and very quiet during the night, which was excellent. The location was perfect to get to all the main places around Oaxaca and had a great cafe around the corner. It felt very secure and in a safe part of the neighborhood. It was away from roads with lots of traffic.

The hostel is not signed, and Google maps directed us to the wrong house. It's very confusing as each property is gated. We didn't receive clear instructions on how to access the property before we arrived. The shower was not great. We had 3 people in our group, and not everyone could shower each night due to poor water pressure. I tried on 2 occasions on the same day to have a shower without success. To add to this, only hot water was available, so the showers we did have were uncomfortably hot. Talking with staff this seemed normal... No air conditioning in the rooms either, however there was a fan.

Nice location in Oaxaca city without airco and only hot water.

Good location close to everything you need. Nice restaurants and coffee places close by. Bed was comfortable. Overall fine stay.

Missing airconditioning, and they had the weirdest water supply, both taps only went to boiling hot. Showering was a horror, no cold water at all. Also a bit of contact when arriving and leaving would have been nice, now seemed more like Airbnb, didn’t talk to anyone.

Good location, nice rooftop, very sparse interior.

We needed to arrive a day early with only a couple of hours notice, staff was very helpful and arranged for us to book the extra room. Self-checkin came very handy. Location is quite nice, central but in a calmer area. It has a lovely roof-top and a little kitchen area.

The room wasn’t cozy at all, just for sleeping/not for spending time. Water was leaking through the walls in the hallway. Walls and windows not sound proof, you hear a lot of envrionmental sounds during the night.

a bit noisy but otherwise great!

Great location, just a short walk to the center, and a great local coffee/chocolate place as well as a great seafood restaurant < 1-minute walking distance. The kitchen is decent and has a clean water dispenser. The rooms are clean and the cleaning staff are very nice and thorough. The staff in general is very nice, patient, and helpful (they only speak Spanish but just use Google Translate of nothing else works)

The rooms are not sound isolated at all, you hear everything from the rooms around you and the streets, most nights it is not too bad, but yeah bring earplugs :) The staff is only available morning-early afternoon

Good location, nice and new furniture in rooms. Easy check-in with codes if you arrive outside the reception time slots. Good cleaning (on request). Some communal space andentscheidend a kitchen available.

Good beds, but pillows a bit uncomfortable (thin). Can get a little noisy in the morning, if you have a room close to the reception. Curtains a bit small for the size of the windows.

Great location! Walking distance to the main attractions in the city center. The rooms are simple but spacious and very clean. The staff is very nice and helpful! Exceeded our expectations! Definitely coming back when we are around Oaxaca again.

Great value for money and great location. Super close to everything, but not very noisy.

The location was pretty great. Super central, but without all the overwhelming noise of being in central Oaxaca. Walking distance from all the bars, restaurants, parties, etc, but distant enough for you to have a good night sleep. Ana and the staff were great and very accommodating. I had an issue with my first room and they were kind enough to change me. They also helped me with tips and with transport. The place is great value for money. And it's also configured in a way that facilitates the meeting of fellow travellers.

I had a problem with the first room I stayed in. Room Number One. Was a bit too noisy because of the water pump. But the staff was great and changed my room. And the shower also leaked. But things got much better when they changed me.

I stayed 3 nights with 2 girlfriends and spontaneously another night because I loved the city. :)

We cooked our own breakfast or went out to eat, but there's options in the accommodation to have breakfast there, too. And a very nice and kind woman who works there. there's everything you might need in the kitchen and a big fridge to leave your food, and a lovely balcony to sit and eat.

I was quite happy with everything :)

Simple and clean rooms. The great advantage of the place is its location, which is close to everything but away from the noisy traffic.

It would be nice if they add more decoration or colour in the rooms as they seem far simplistic to the eye.

- Good location - Clean and spacious (although you had to ask to have your room cleaned, even emptying the bins) - Room was light

- The room was a little stuffy and needed more ventilation - There was no flexibility on check in when we arrived at 9am - The sink drains / water smelled when you washed your face

Nice place to visit Oaxaca

Nice place to stay in veri great position to visit Oaxaca. Rooms are large, clean and very quiet. The common areas are very pleasant. The kitchen is new and with all accessories. Hot and cold water always available.

When we arrived (1 hour after the minimum check in time), the room was still occupied by the previous guest who should have left in the morning. The other customer was also angry about the intrusion into the room because he said he had agreed on a late check-out with the hotel, but we already received the access code to our room and it was already afternoon! The situation was resolved by the girl who had to clean the room that was still occupied (she was very kind). However we didn't get the room we booked. The lack of a reception and the lack of remote support with messages have created these problems. The stay was still pleasant after the initial problem.

- the location. it was quiet but also close to everywhere. sadly there was a construction side in the opposite building, but it was tolerable. As soon as they are finished it will be really quiet. - the room was clean, big and beautiful. there’s no air condition but a fan - which was enough. - it is a small house with a nice roof top terrace

Hard stone surfaces make sound travel so hall can be noisy if guests are not considerate.. just bring earplugs.

Nice location, uncomfortable bed, clogged shower & no staff presence.

It was quiet and had nice decor.

I was not able to contact anyone on the phone prior to my arrival. When I did arrive the door was locked & I waited 20 mins on the street for someone to let me in. I had to scream for someone to notice because the doorbell wasn’t loud enough & no one was close enough to hear me knocking. most hostels have a presence of staff who can help with travel logistics and this place did not. The bed was very hard & uncomfortable and there was a very light blanket that was the weight of a sheet with no additional bedding, so I got cold & did not sleep well. The shower drain was plugged and after 1-2 minutes in the shower I was up to my ankles in water- pretty gross. Compared to other places in the area with the same price point this place was worse.

the rooms are basic but attractive and very clean; the location is perfect for walking easily anywhere in the center; there is a nice shared kitchen with fresh drinking water

There is no one on site to answer questions; my arrival was very confusing because I came at night and didn’t know I would need to enter a code that had been emailed to me.
