A very disappointing stay – nothing like the photos, poorly maintained flat and not worth the price

Mable location was good.

The flat was a very disappointing experience. The building itself looked like it was from World War II, almost abandoned, and gave off the feeling of a horror movie setting. It was nothing like the photos shown online. The beds were old, the bathroom was in terrible condition with no maintenance, and there was no hot water, so we couldn’t even take a shower. The toilets were dirty, with paint peeling off the walls. The internet kept disconnecting and was practically unusable. We only stayed for one night just to sleep, but if you asked me whether I would ever rent it again, the answer is absolutely not. For the price, it was an awful experience. I honestly don’t understand how this flat has a rating above 7 – in my opinion, it deserves no more than 2 or 3 at most.

Short summary - the apartment is not inhabitable, infested by cockroaches, dirty rooms, old furniture, inadequate landlord and horrible conditions. Avoid at all costs!!! The apartment is situated in 100+ year old building that was last renovated 50+ years ago. You can tell that by both the facade of the building as well as the stairs in the common room once you go in through the main door, which is a challenge by itself. The apartment itself - the door leading into the apartment is old and gives absolutely no feeling of safety. It would not stop anyone from going in by just using a bit of force. The rooms within the apartment are super spacious, with high ceilings and plenty of beds to accommodate 8+ people. The furniture is old and in bad condition, the bathroom and toilets are far from the cleanliness you would expect for the price asked. The worst thing about this apartment, however, is the fact it's literary infested by cockroaches the size of a walnut. The moment you turn the lights off they swarm out from under every bed, sofa and piece of furniture in every single room. We arrived late in the evening, dropped our luggage and went out to eat without paying too much attention to the minor details. When we came back 1-2 hours later and turned the lights on, there were 5 cockroaches running around in just the first room, couple of more in every other room. After killing as many as we could, leaving their bodies on the "crime scene" as evidence, we called the landlord demanding he comes to the apartment immediately. When he arrived, listened to our complains and saw the numerous proofs of our words, he acted all surprised as it's the first time he ever heard someone complain about it. Only positive thing I can say about the otherwise inadequate landlord is that he agreed to refund our money in cash right away. As a result we had to call local hotels 1 by 1 at 12 AM looking for a new safe place to spend the night.

Nice stay

The host was very responsive and helpful. Instructions on how to get in were very clear. Everything was as shown on the pictures in booking. The place is absolutely huge, with the capacity to take in more than 12 people. The location is superb, only 3-4 minutes from the main square. The parking is public, but the host paid the zone for both of our cars, so it was really "free parking" for us, as described. Overall, we were very pleased with the place.

Minor issues. For example, there is only one bath and we were 7 people so it was not ideal :) There are 2 toilets that were very tight, which I found really strange compared to how big and vast the apartment was. It was also strange why they didn't think of a solution to make the toilets at least a little warmer - again, odd in comparison with how warm every other room was.

The apartment was huge!! The host was lovely and the communication was great. We weren’t there long but had everything we needed and was great, we had a nice nights sleep

Excellent apartment, excellent host, excellent value

Central location that is close to great restaurants, many spacious rooms and beds. the bathroom tub was great as well. However, our host Eugen was truly the standout great part. I have never had a host who spent such detailed time with us giving us advice, helping us hold luggage, and overall he extended beyond in all things. He is someone who redefines expectations for a great host. We look forward to coming back soon! The price was also unbeatable for so much space.

If you travel as a group is a perfect place!

The apartment is very big, nicely decorated and very accommodating for a group of friends, family or colleagues. It is very spacious and it has space for common activities but also privacy. We were really impressed! It is renovated, cosy, and warm. It is very close to the centre and very easy to get in touch with the owner. There was coffee and tea and all facilities for staying even longer than we did.

Huge apartment very close to the historical old town (2-3 minutes walk). It has fully equipped kitchen, two restrooms and a small terrace where you can smoke. Easy check-in and check-out.

It's pretty old and not the cleanest, so - considering the price - just have realistic expectations. Also there's car/people noise from the street if you sleep with the windows open.

The apartment is a spacious place and looks exactly like it does on the pictures. It's very conveniently located and although it's in the city center, the apartment is very quiet! The owner was very accommodating and very quick to respond to any request. He was also flexible with check-in and check-out time, which was extremely helpful.

Great clean accomodation near center of the town. Fairly well equiped and spacious. We enjoyed our stay and I would definitelly recomend the place to anyone visiting Timisoara. :)
