Villa Eris

Location was easy to get too, walking distance from Puerto Del Carmen and very central to shops and bars and restaurants. Pizzeria just around the corner and local shop.

Outdoor area nice and well kept.

We were not informed that the air-conditioning is chargeable by coin meter at a rate of 1 euro/hour.

The accommodation was good as was the location. Pool area was nice but only suitable for 2 people as it was small and and you would struggle to fit 4 sun beds in a small area. The sun hit the pool area at 11am and from then it was a sun trap.

Communication was unsatisfactory we told Yolanda that we were arriving at approximately 11am and leaving at 20.00. When we arrived Yolanda had just arrived and told us she had to clean the villa and we could leave our bags and come back in 2 hours. My wife had travelled in a tracksuit and had to deal with the severe heat for this time until we returned to the villa. Prior to our arrival we requested a late checkout as our flight was at 2300, this was agreed through WhatsApp however 2 days before we left Yolanda contacted me to say we couldn't have a late checkout as she had to clean as somebody else was booked in to the villa that night she' said we could stay in the villa until 1200 and pick up our bags at 1900. It appears as if she got a new booking and disregarded out request. Fortunately we were able to book into the Playa Azul for 1 day which cost us 60 euros. I would recommend that you book this villa ask for written confirmation of this. You also have to pay for the air conditioning which we were not told about The tv has only 2 UK channels and overall we have been in numerous villa's in lanzarote in the past 5 years and this has been the most disappointing due to the poor communication and reneging on a late checkout agreement. Due to this we would definitely not book this villa again.

Lovely pool, good sized main bedroom and ensuite.

Very steep hills together down to the beach, bars and restaurants - so forced to get taxis back to the property each time. Generally not very clean, dusty bedside table surfaces and tiled floors, ensuite shower had a lot of black mould so needs deep clean. Couldn't get cable TV to work, Engineer eventually called fixed connection in lounge, but bedroom connection caput, and tiny TV in the bedroom. But only youtube available- otherwise all Spanish or Greman channels!!! Aircon went off suddenly, called contact but had to wait for them to call out when they put more money in the slot meter! We felt obliged to cut back on usage, or face another slot meter cut off! Had problems with ants in kitchen and some sort of roaches in the property as a whole.
