There must be a phone number available to phone if a guest arrives at the outside gate …and they realise they forgot their remote in their room. Some guests arrived back just before midnight one night and blasted their hooter and shone their headlights into our windows. It went on for about 20 minutes.

Beautiful guesthouse in a quiet location

We stayed in the barn and it was very spacious. We can definitely recommend this guesthouse, the location is great - quiet and just outside of the main hub of Stellenbosch. The host was very friendly and attentive. The wifi wasn't working when we arrived but it was sorted out pretty much immediately.

Bug, Bugs, and More Bugs

The interior was nice.

Lack of response to severe bug issue at facility. Lack of information regarding use of the pool. Kids were chased away from another area within the facility that had a pool; they had no idea there was another common pool across from our room. It was hidden by tall trees. A more polite approach would have been to direct my sons, 18 and 20, to the reception area or to tell them about the common pool. Incredibly arrogant and rude. Overall, the bug issue is severe; they were everywhere, including on the towel when I got out of the shower. I had mosquito bites on my legs, arms, face, and neck. As we were leaving, one of the managers apologized for the bug issue, blamed it on his staff. I would not stay here again.

Lovely tranquil estate

Beautiful pool and lawns,very peaceful most of the time. Modern house design. Many plates and utensils,dishwasher,all very well thought out. Spacious ,with nice couches and very comfy beds.

The owner had already called and confirm my booking. He gave me instructions and the name of the lady at the reception who’s gonna assist me with checking in. So for me that made everything smooth. Communication was very good

location was perfect, accessible to all amenities. it was also situated in close proximity to the wine tasting farms. we enjoyed our stay with no limits. thank you for the great host. will definitely come back

Exceptional stay in the heart of Stellenbosch.

We were a group of 9 - and found the property very roomy and comfortable. It’s an amazing property with incredible entertaining features / areas. Also the inside of the property is very clean and garden is immaculately maintained. Also loved meeting Olive the resident Owl.

We had regular visitors from other rooms come into the farmhouse areas during our stay, better signage to advise them to stay out / respect the zones might be good. Also would be good for the host to pressure wash come cobwebs in the outdoor / pool areas etc.

A beautiful property in a magnificent location with excellent staff and facilities - wondeful!

Everything was excellent and Paul, th Farm Manager could not have been more helpful. All in all a wonderful place to stay and I would highly recommend it to any traveler.

No breakfast available but a cafe and restaurant and supermarket two minutes down the road.

Beautiful property which totally exceeded expectations. We liked it so much we booked a second night. Lots of room to relax or cook a meal. Comfortable beds. Friendly and responsive staff. The property is fenced and surrounded by vineyards. Felt safe running as a single female in the neighborhood.

Fantastic accommodation in stunning location with the most beautiful views. The houses having everything you need, including a braai area and veranda to have sundowners. The staff were so accommodating and couldn't do more to help us especially Paul who gave us a tour of the whole place. We cant wait to book our next holiday here again.

Our stay at Sunset Farm was a peaceful and comfortable escape, a real treat and a perfect few days away with family.

What a treat staying at Sunset Farm, the property was modern, spacious, light very well equipped, clean and cozy. We stayed during winter were the temperatures were cold and wet but the fireplace inside warmed the house up beautifully making our stay very comfortable.

There was nothing that I did not likeit was perfect.
