Friendly staff and good position

The staff at guest house is very friendly. Our room, Fynboos, was really nice and spacious. We enjoyed our breakfast too. The guest house is close to town centre/university.

Our room was closed to the road, so there was a bit of traffic noise in the morning, but it wasn’t that annoying.

The check-in process was quick and easy and Quillan was very helpful.

My original booking was for the African Room but for some reason I was put into the Oak Room, which was right by the front door. It was therefore very noisy, as I was woken up by people entering and exiting the property during the night. I placed my order for breakfast via Whatsapp, as requested on the Breakfast Menu in my room, but when I went to breakfast the next morning, I had to place my order all over again, which seemed to defeat the object of me sending it via Whatsapp. Unfortunatley the omlette was not great. It was thin and not very flavourful.

The prompt confirmation call immediately the booking was made . The rooms are spacious . James - the concierge , chef and housekeeper is ever attentive.

The staff compliment was inadequate to meet the needs of a fully booked place. The existing staff were overwhelmed .

Relaxed & Laid back in Stellenbosch

Quiet area of Stellenbosch, yet close to all you wish to visit. Super friendly & helpful staff were there to assist at every turn - so well done. Room was large & opened out to a small garden which was a treat. The breakfast I had was yummy & to be recommended.

Desk in the room. Even tho it wasn't a work trip, it's always great to have a desk. Access is via bunch of different keys which can be complicated, especially in the dark - not a gripe, just an observation

Very comfortable ..... about a 20 minute walk into town.

Breakfast was great. Bedroom and lounge were spacious and comfy.

Our sink area in our particular bathroom was very small ...... this was due to the large corner bath. Great if you want to bathe every day, but a bit more space at the sink would have been appreciated. Other rooms of course would be different.

Unpleasant

The room we stayed in was very run down. A leak in the roof created a massive puddle in the corner. The bathroom window frames were totally shot. In addition the front door and bedroom door will simple locks which anyone could have pushed open. I did not feel safe. The room wasn’t clean although the bed was.

It was okay but not fabulous

The bed was comfortable. The place is near the Medi-Clinic Hospital. Room is spacious

The breakfast wasn't up to standard, there was no fresh fruit or yohurt. We want to have it but not available. The staff should be more professional and wear uniform. The bathroom in the cupboard is also very small and it need some attention (basin cracked mirror damaged). Kitchen is not up to standard, I had to ask for milk for my tea. Rooms need iron board and iron
