The location is great and the room was very nice

The staff was not very friendly and made no real effort to see whether my room was ready earlier. I arrived whilst a staff meeting was held in the reception area and was ignored by three staff members for a long time.

Charming hotel in central Stellenbosch.

We stayed there for 4 nights during one of the stops on our honeymoon and had a lovely and peaceful time in Stellenbosch. Hotel is close to everything.

Could easy became the home away from home.

The room was clean, breakfast amazing, staff was very welcoming and friendly. The building itself was clean and facilities other than the shower issue really have no complaints. Check- out time is later than most hotels by an hour.

The was a bit of smell coming out from the shower drain. The shower had no door by design which didn't help as the was water flowing out.

Great location, staff and hotel

Parking under the hotel, staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was right on the step of bars and restaurants, and a short walk to the shops. I was worried about the noise from the bars at night, but you couldn’t hear anything.

Good basic hotel accommodation

Great location, walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go. Good communication prior to arrival. Simple yet elegant furnishings. Clean rooms. Great shower. Decent hair dryer.

A bit underwhelming for a 4* hotel. No lounge area. Although friendly, they seemed understaffed over weekend. Not enough bathroom supplies. Mediocre breakfast.

Everything was fine until the loud noise in the morning.

I liked the secure packing and kitchen facilities

There was a loud drilling sound early in the morning that seemed to come from the roof. They expected me to pay for my son's breakfast even though I booked for two but only checked in alone.

Pleasant and convenient, but considering the price, I would have expected better maintenance.

Location was perfect - quick easy walks to restaurants in Church and Drop streets. Staff at reception very friendly. We asked for a room with mountain view - which we got, and view was very nice and reasonably quiet ( being so close to restaurants do bring some music noise - it is a varsity town after all). I wouldn't get a street room as it faces the BP garage and Car Wash.

room - especially bathroom was a bit tired. Not sure when this hotel was built, but some elements need renovation. Paint of outdoors railing are peeling off - scuff marks in bathrooms, including mold in some areas. Room is well appointed, but after a day, visible damage and paint issues became apparent. Beware as well of the Underground parking, accessible via a lift. My SUV was able to fit it, but getting in and out of the elevator can be tricky - and unsure what happens if building loses electricity.

An Easy Stay in the Centre of Town

It’s a perfect location with safe parking. The staff are fantastic and we enjoyed a fairly basic breakfast. The rooms are spacious and include many accessories that make your life comfortable. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was fantastic.

The WiFi wasn’t great if you need to do any meetings. The staff were helpful in trying to reset the router but I had to work off a hotspot on my mobile phone. It was also difficult to manage the AC to get the room to heat up. It was very cold so heating was essential in winter.

The hotel is new and fresh. Great location in town. Absolutely fantastic staff - super-friendly and respectful. Comfortable and clean room. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Satellite TV wasn't working. Breakfast had no baked beans at all on day 1. On day 2 again there were no baked beans but subsequently supplied after I complained about there being no baked beans for 2 consecutive mornings. Both mornings no mushrooms served. So, for me the breakfast experience was somewhat below expectations.

Rooms were modern, neat, quiet surrounds yet walking distance from busy Dorp street. Safe parking, lovely breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. The perfect place if you dislike busy and crowded foyers.
