Room lovely with everything needed. Very convenient. Everything in good repair, looked and smelled clean. Staff helpful with extras when requested. Charming hand written card and welcome drink left for us. Staff greeting on arrival helped us check in with the check in screens. Reception and bar had a comfortable, trendy and safe vibe. Throughout staff were warm, friendly and looking to be helpful, checking if everything was ok with our stay, did we need anything. Secure and speedy lifts were quiet and barely felt any movement in them. The fridge a really good size, nifty little freezer box handy for ice packs and a couple of things besides. Kitchen lights took a little working out but the electronic panels were fairly intuitive. Black out blind in bedroom really does what it says on the tin. Location is lovely with Paddington basin a few steps away, complete with barges, areas to relax, watch the giant TV screen, play chess on the picnic tables hire ping pong equipment, relax in the bars or stroll past the duck houses. It is a short walk from Paddington station with lifts provided at the bridge over the canal though be aware there are some cobbled sections if wheeling cases. However the longer way around really isnt too far. On hand are supermarkets and a pharmacy and near to 2 tube stations plus bus stops to easily get anywhere you need. Didn't use the in hotel pantry while there but looked very well stocked. Great starting and finishing point to relax after dailys jaunts around central London. Will stay again, would also feel comfortable staying as a solo traveller.

Bed mattress quite firm. Not terrible but a little give might feel more indulgent and in keeping with everything else. sofa bed pulled out into two very narrow singles. Fine for kids but not for my adult niece. Tried pulling both out but that left a large gap. Wasn't a showstopper but needed a little faff to get things comfy. For the price more welcome basics would have been nice. WhatsApp is fine but connecting to people not AI would be preferred

Location, cleanliness, and amenities

A little more space and more lighting to brighten up the space would have been nice

Great location, really lovely staff, excellent breakfast (really good!), and lovely warm details like handwritten welcome cards and little cake jars to welcome us

The rooms are pretty small, which isn’t really an issue other than the fact that it’s hard if you have big bags as there’s limited space to put them. Also the shower pressure was very poor, but not really something that can be fixed

Staff was helpful with manual checkin and luggage. The little kitchen area with the electric stove and fridge are very good and functional.

There was a false fire alarm triggered during one of our stay and no announcement or clarification. The check-in kiosk could not locate our reservation (3 separate rooms) and the staff had to search it up on his device. Lack of instructions on using the self checkin process. My kids and I were not put on the same floor even though I had requested in advance to have 2 rooms close by. The sofa bed was not setup, I had to set it up myself. There were no extra linens in the room and I had to request to get pillow and linens for a 3rd person setup in the room even though we had paid extra already. The sink is very shallow and narrow; therefore, every time you wash something, water splashes out and wet the counter. No cloth or paper towel supplied to soak up the area.
