I would stay here again, easy to gain access. Clean rooms with nice decor.

Lovely decor, ideal location. The bed was really comfortable and the apartment was clean and in good condition. Tea and coffee was provided in the room.

We entered the property at approximately 7:00 pm on 21/02/26 and left at around 10:30 pm the same evening. Upon entering, we were immediately met with a very strong smell of cigarette smoke and damp, which was particularly severe on the second floor. The odour, combined with the dust, made it difficult to breathe, even with all windows open. The apartment was in an extremely unhygienic and unacceptable condition. There was thick dust throughout, used stains on the bedding, towels and seating, marks on the bedside tables and skirting boards, hair in the bin and on bedside tables, and blood in the bathroom sink. The condition of the property was shocking and appears as though it had not been cleaned for an extended period. The presence of blood is a serious health and safety concern. My partner and I were very much looking forward to this trip, and we were deeply disappointed by the condition of the accommodation. The apartment was not fit for occupancy, and we had no choice but to make alternative arrangements. This situation was entirely unacceptable. We paid £176.94 for this stay, and I believe it is only fair that this amount is refunded in full. It is unreasonable to expect guests to stay in accommodation of this standard. An additional £50 refundable damage deposit is also to be refunded too. I have attached photographs documenting the condition of the property. I have also contacted Booking.com regarding this matter. If a refund is not issued, I will escalate this further. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

Booking.com cautions against providing passport details when making a booking, but Three Cranes Hotel required this for the booking. Booking.com cautioned against providing bank details, which you also requested. I am not comfortable providing either of these and for this reason, won't book with you again.

Disappointing

The room is spacious and warm. The kitchen is clean with plenty of utensils to use. The TV is a smart TV with a Netflix app you can log into with your own account. WiFi was also good and the location is convient, although the street itself had alot of run down buildings.

This room was advatised as sound proof, but you hear alot of noise from around the building and street through the night. The shower wasn't clean and there was splashes up the door and cabinet in the bath room. The box around the toilet and skirting boards were really dusty. The bedding was also very bobbly and kept shedding onto the bed. The furniture was marked and damaged. It looked like there was cream,/ tooth paste on one of the bedside tables.

A disappointing New Year's stay

The location was brilliant, right in the centre of town, and the property's communal areas are decorated super nicely – we really enjoyed the Sheffield-themed artwork in the hallway. We also appreciated how secure the property was (you need to enter a code to get into the building).

I hate to give places a bad rating but, unfortunately, someone had been smoking in our room. We found an ashtray under the bed, and ash bubbled up from the sink plug hole. This, along with a couple of other small things (such as a dried noodle on the floor), gave us concerns about the level of cleaning done before we arrived. The stale smoke also irritated my mild asthma so much we needed to leave as soon as we woke up. All of this really took the shine off of our New Year's plans. Worth noting: The owners have assured us these issues have now been resolved but did not offer anything to make it right for us.

Excellent stay in a centrally located warm, comfortable apartment

I had a really nice stay at this apartment. I loved that the location was right in the centre of the city and that I had all the facilities in my room it was warm and comfortable - no complaints.

Nothing - it's a good place. I resented having to pay a £50 deposit which was promptly returned and I do understand why you would do this. So not really a problem.

Excellent apartment in a good location and at a very fair price. The apartment building was easy to access, and the room itself was comfortable, well furnished/equipped and spotless.

Disappointed and tired as probably gad 3 hours sleep due to the inconsiderate, noisy guests above us

good room size, comfortable bed, reasonably well equipped kitchen, location, light snd airy.

Sound proofing - Zero! very noisy guests above us. Cleanliness could be better, had to wash the crockery, clean the kitchen area (sink, cooker and worktop. Shower cubicle and basin needed a deep clean.

Good location, bed was pretty comfortable

I’ve stayed here twice before and each time it seem to get worse. Annoying security deposit process before you are allowed entry, have to send proof of ID as well, which was only requested 13 hours in advance of check in. Last 2 times I stayed here this wasn’t the case. Used to get nice little gifts when you stayed like a pot of jelly babies, now nothing. Bathroom constantly stunk and had to keep the door closed. Free sachets of coffee and teabags but no milk?? Feels like the owners just don’t care anymore compared to staying here previously. It was comfortable enough but I wouldn’t stay again.

Very tiny room TV wouldn’t work nowhere to even hang or put our clothes didn’t stay the night my husband said it made him claustrophobic so we went out for our meal went back got our stuff and went home.

Wouldn't stay again.

It was a big space

I was travelling alone for work. You couldn't see the tv from the bed so i sat on the sofa bed to watch, which is really hard and uncomfortable to sit on. At 1am there was really aggressive banging on the door, then a second and third time. There was no peep hole to see who it was, why would anyone be banging on the door at that time, they proceeded to bang on subsequent doors along the hall way. I felt so vulnerable, despite there being a code system to enter the building. I was desperate for it it be morning so that i could leave!!! The room was clean but the layout was strange. The Tv should be on an angled bracket so you could view it better.

The booking in process was dreadful - would be normal surely to book and pay deposit at the same time - I was left stood outside in the rain whilst trying to transfer £50 deposit that I’m not sure if I’ll see again, and waiting for the door code and entry information to be sent. Bathroom was dirty in the corners and mould in the shower with a damp musty smell. Room was quite quite chilly - Heating came in just as I was leaving in the morning. The street outside was not a nice area - no way was I leaving my car there Stairs were very steep and narrow

The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Location was great, just a five minute walk from centre.

Brilliant stay

The studio was lovely and had everything we could possibly need. The pictures don't do it justice, it was even nicer than expected. It was roomy and comfortable. It was much nicer than staying in a hotel. We already can't wait to come back again. The staff were also extremely helpful with any questions I had.
