The apartment was very clean, nicely furnished and spacious with high ceilings. Good kitchen facilities. The beds were very comfy with nice bedding. We loved the little cafe at the bottom of the apartment building. The location was about 15 min walk into the main city centre. There's a bus stop just outside with good connections into town and beyond.

The property is in an older, historical building with typical Glaswegian high ceilings and older windows. It meant it wasn't very sound proofed from the busy road below but we found that didn't interrupt our sleep too much. Noise is expected in a busy city! Some of the decor needs an update and a couple of things fixing (like the wobbly loo seat) The bedrooms were very close to a multi-story car park so there was some light getting through the curtains and the occasional car alarm. We emailed the owners about a small pipe leak in the bathroom and an issue with Netflix (which we rectified). The email was acknowledged but the issue wasn't addressed during our stay. Finally, I had a £250 security deposit deducted from my account during the stay. This was unexpected and wasn't very clear this would happen. I queried it and got an automated response that the 'security deposit has been released' along with the usual request to review our stay. I've emailed again to ask if this is the same £250 charge but have not got a reply. Before and during our stay, the owners were very responsive and keen to help answer questions. The unexpected charge and lack of response after our stay was a little disappointing.

Heating kept failing and had to keep resetting it, luckily I am a heating engineer but most people would have had a cold weekend, we phoned the helpline and emailed the on our first morning but never had a response of any kind, very poor
