Only good thing is location

I stayed at CaDES Accommodation from 13th to 17th October and unfortunately had one of the most uncomfortable and distressing experiences I’ve ever had while travelling. Safety & Noise: I was repeatedly woken during the night by loud banging, shouting, and people knocking on my door. This happened on multiple nights and made me feel unsafe in the property. The smell of marijuana was constant throughout the building, which created an unpleasant and intimidating atmosphere. Heating Issues: Upon arrival, my room was extremely cold. I was told to collect a heater from the communal bathroom, which I did, but the room never retained heat. I ended up having to sleep next to the heater just to stay warm. Cleanliness: During my entire stay, my room was not cleaned once, nor was my bedding changed. Although I understand this is not a hotel, basic cleanliness and a habitable environment should still be expected. Management Response: I raised concerns, but aside from being provided with a heater, no further support or resolution was offered. After my stay, I contacted management to explain the situation in detail. The response I received was dismissive and placed responsibility entirely on me for not reporting the issues at the time — despite the fact that I did not feel safe enough to leave my room due to the behaviour of other guests. Overall: This accommodation did not feel safe, comfortable, or appropriately managed. My experience was distressing, and my complaints were not taken seriously. I would strongly advise others to consider alternative accommodation, especially if you value safety, cleanliness, and a peaceful environment.

Location

Bed, bedding, worn out mattress, cold room and could not relock the key safe. İn fact i only used the shower and did not stay overnight.

I didn't know breakfast was a option, so cant rate.

The weather, if can sort that out for next time that would be great.

The heater didn't work in the room; the nights were cold with only a thin duvet. Neither the clock in the room nor the clock in the kitchen worked. The small shelf above the basin was hanging off the wall. Worst of all, on the Sunday morning, my car was blocked in by all the churchgoers so I had to take a taxi to and from my appointments.

It nots the first time I stay at the accomodation, very quiet place, comfy and clean. This time the heating was not working but I was able to get a small heater.

Small and simple but nice and cosy and right in the city centre which is perfect as your right next to all the amenities.

Couldn’t fault it to be honest

Good simple accommodation and very clean and tidy kitchen and bathrooms.

Old, draughty single-glazed windows meant the traffic noise from the major road outside was a problem and stopped me sleeping.

I liked how independent it felt to do a self check in, it made it easier to begin our stay. I also liked how neat and clean the space was.

The window wouldn't stay open properly, and it was a particularly warm weekend, however this is something to do with the actual building rather than the accommodation team.

It was very clean and cozy and nice. The room was lovely and the location was nearby everything.

Convenient location, clean place, comfiest of beds!! The books biscuits and water are a lovely touch. Great value for money and convenient check in. Owner Great with communication

I didn't realise it was a shared bathroom when I booked it however the bathroom was clean and the key lock made me feel secure

It's always a pleasure to stay CADeS. The staff are always welcoming, pleasant and on hand to accommodate. The room was immaculate and pristine. I will most definitely be booking again.

Room was clean and comfy with its own sink. Bathroom / toilet facilities were shared but they were clean and I never had to queue to use them. This was my first time in Wolverhampton, it wasn't too far a walk to Wolverhampton Civic and I felt safe enough walking here alone. I didn't use the kitchen facilities so can't comment on them but they're there if you need them.

Nothing to dislike

I'd happily stay again, in fact this was my second stay within a couple of weeks. Room was still clean and cosy and the shared bathroom facilities were clean and I never had to queue. It did take me a wee while to.find the place and navigate the self check-in on my first visit but this time was an absolute breeze.

No complaints, I'd happily stay here again next time I'm in town for a gig.

I have stayed several times undertaking a course at the nearby ERR college. It is bright, very clean, spacious, comfortable, well equipped kitchen in a good central location. And car parking included on site!! Was great for me doing 3 days studying / practical exams at nearby college. The accommodation is in a old converted church so interesting features. Check in is easy and frictionless without contact of any staff. (They are easily on hand via email) Ps Added bonus is the tea and coffee machine, just brink milk.

As the windows are originals there is a bit of road noise. Maybe some sound insulation may help. Wasn't a problem for me

There was a blood stain on the mattress topper The noise in the corridor was horrendous My door was tried a few times over the week which made me feel really uncomfortable to the point where my door was constantly locked You could hear when other rooms turned taps on because of vibrating pipes All I heard was constant sirens as no double glazing and on a main road Dirty greasy handmarks on the wardrobe The walls.were that thin you could hear conversations when people were on the phone Also the walls that thin you could here light switches being switched off and on I stayed for 5 days and not once was my room cleaned , bed changed or towels changed It has other premises but I think the photos they use on the site is from the other sites as what I had was nothing like what was advertised Not manned by staff overall just an absolutely horrific experience

Great price, clean, well situated. Booked for an overnight stay to see a gig in the city centre.

It was a little noisy at night, but that wasn’t the property’s fault, just lots of sirens

This property is in a very good location in the city centre. I did have problems finding the accommodation as the signage is very small and not easily seen from the roadside. However, detailed instructions were sent on an email which I missed. I rang the manager and he was extremely helpful and stayed on the phone with me until I had entered the elf check-in property. If you are wanting to spend the evening watching TV, this isn't an option. As the room did not have a TV. The chair at the desk is very low so working at the desk was quite uncomfortable. I would describe this accommodation as upmarket student halls of residence. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but there is a shared kitchen with the facilities to do this but there was no milk available. I will definitely stay here again and will take my own milk next time and it will be easy to find now I know where it is located. FYI it is a repurposed church.

Excellent stay in Wolverhampton just around 10min walk from the train and bus stations. Comfi bed, fast internet, big light room, huge kitchen to prepare anything you want.

The cleaning lady was super helpful and the facilities such as bathroom and bedroom were super clean.

However, I did not feel safe at all. My safety was left in myself and strangers hands. Some people purposely left the main doors open if they wanted to go for a smoke or check their cars, this risks strangers to just walk in. I would prefer a receptionist or even security guard there.

The room was very hot and there was only a small window that opened.

Super clean and very secure. Very quiet. I would stay again.

It was like a nuclear furnace, no fans available. Coming into autumn that won't be an issue.
