Beautiful little apartment , location is ideal , close to everything, spotless ..

Windows the draft was horrendous.ideally a list and instruction booklet would be great .. List of items for their benefit as well as customers . Also they could do with an Extra thick blanket. Fixing the window with insulation tape would save on the heating .. Also extensión rods in front of the windows with curtains to the floor , would help with heating ,they have blinds that do not cover the windows , just very simple things would be beneficial to them as well as customers. A fold back screen in the bathroom would be brilliant instead of the glass panel that bangs against the sink .. The freezer needs aired ..

A small but comfortable property

A really clean property, the housekeeper takes good care of it and it was lovely and warm. The location is perfect and parking was easy.

The kitchen has an oven and a microwave but no crockery suitable to cook in either (fortunately we had brought a pyrex dish and lid from home). The bathroom would benefit from some storage or shelving for toiletries.

Stair lights timer needs adjusted, they are on during the day and off at night. The kitchen floor is very spongy infront of cooker. I work in building trade and you may want to get it looked at.

Cosy little flat

Lovely little flat, close to town centre and my sister who I was up to visit. The furniture is well maintained and comfortable. Good sized smart tv and WiFi signal was good.

This is the second time I've stayed and noticed a smell of dampness from the bathroom this time. I'm not sure if it's coming from the toilet or behind the sink, but strongest smell there. Mattress is lumpy and sinking in some parts, I note the owner has said it can be a personal preference in other reviews but also some other people have complained so perhaps the mattress is coming towards the end of its life! I had no issues with the close style entrance as I stayed in late summer but it was quite dark in the evenings, perhaps better lighting outside door would be helpful. Door knob at front door is wobbly

Enjoyed the short stay

Very easy to reach from the ferry and easy to get into the town - ideal as came without a car Nice once in the flat which was clean. Living room airy. Good communication from host and 'housekeeper'

The approach to the flat wasn't good - exactly as mentioned by previous reviewers Wondered if some wine glasses had been broken as only 2 which were a different shape and size to each other A colander would be useful Bedroom small with one side of the bed difficult to reach but not a problem for one person

Twice the Charm

This is my second time as a guest here, and I'm not disappointed. The location is perfect: close to the main bit of Dunoon, and Anselmo's, an excellent chippy, is just two minutes around the corner, along with other local shops; five minutes from the main part of the town and close to a supermarket. It is beside a main street, but the flat is quiet. It has a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom with a bath. Lovely, cosy, and warm.

Unfortunately, the washing machine seems to be on the blink this time. The owner was notified, and unfortunately, it can't be sorted out during my short stay. It's good that there is a good laundrette just 5 minutes away, and I'd opted for the service wash for £14.

Acceptable and adequate, except for the mattress which is not fit for purpose.

Recently refurbished, self-catering apartment. Clean, tidy and adequately equipped. Electric heating. 5 minutes walk from the town centre, river and restaurants. Parking on Hillfoot Street is on a single dashed yellow line, however the sign that should indicate restricted hours is missing so it looks like parking is okay here day and night. Other reviews mention a lack of lighting on the external communal staircase, however this seems to have been resolved.

The Booking.com confirmation said I had to ring the owner for details of how and where to collect a key to the flat. However the phone number given begins +34. I refuse to ring a number in Spain at cost to myself! However the owner responded to an email request and gave comprehensive details. The bedroom is very small and cramped and the mattress is well past end-of-life. The springs have collapsed and gaps in the driven base below are felt. I suffer from a bad back and after 3 nights on that mattress I now have extreme backache. This is not just a poor mattress, it's a deceased mattress - not acceptable. Instructions for using the electric heaters would have been useful. Everything else was reasonable but nothing was outstanding.

Great apartment with nice views in the distance

Lovely cosy, well equipped and nicely furnished apartment 5 mins walk to waterfront and 15 mins to passenger on foot ferry - the car ferry is at. Hunters Quay On edge of town so all an easy walk The apartment is above a shop and you can see the water and mountains in the distance 2 sets of stairs to apartment entrance Netflix

The communal entrance to the apartment building is very run down and grim but this doesn't reflect the apartment which is fantastic. We had read reviews before booking so were aware of this. It didn't feel unsafe and was very quiet.

Ideal for a few days away spotless,lovely decor and everything you need for when your away would definitely go back.

Front close and stair area could look a bit more welcoming and the lighting in the close area could be brighter found it hard to see to type in pin number.

Lovely flat, very enjoyable stay.

This is a great flat for a couple, very comfortable, we really enjoyed staying there. It has everything you need, all clean and in good order. It's airy when the sun shines and cosy when it doesn't (and it has Now TV, which was a treat when it was pouring with rain one night). Also, I loved all the mirrors! It's in a good central position, which means everywhere in Dunoon is just a short walk away, and you can get to beautiful country walks in no time. We'll be back.

It would have been good to have a few cleaning products and cloths/sponges to wipe down the bath and the kitchen. And I think the bed would benefit from one of those mattress toppers from Ikea. But these were only very minor things and didn't affect our stay at all.

A very comfy stay!

The apartment was really comfortable and a convenient location for a local event I was working at. The living and dining area is spacious, and the apartment is really clean and welcoming. You have everything you need for a short stay in Dunoon (a cafetiere or filter coffee pot would be a welcome addition!)

Some written instructions about heating and TV etc would be helpful. I was able to contact the wonderful housekeeper who was really prompt to assist, but an instruction sheet in the apartment for guests would save bothering her.

Clean, cozy and warm. Ideal for a weekend away

Pretty good location, close to local amenities and about 150 years from the waterfront. Free parking close by and plenty of places to see. Small shop just around the corner and a really decent chipshop. Ideal place for a weekend away. Now TV with all subscriptions and some addons such as Disney+ and Netflix for those rainy days if needed. Clean, cozy and warm. Kitchen pretty well equipped too.

Privacy in kitchen and living room was a bit of a problem as the blinds did not roll all the way down. Really minor though.
