Mars Hill Lower

Everything was extremely comfortable. The beds were large and the living room and dining room were perfect. Great kitchen. Just great all round and the views were to die for.

Nothing, it was great

We loved all of the interior, the location and the views.

We didn’t like the steep climb as one of our party was elderly and we didn’t have a car. The garden was overgrown and there was a dirty disused stair lift on the front door steps. We would have liked a place to sit in the garden to enjoy the views.

Wonderful views in a great central location, very clean, plenty of space. Very comfy beds. Step access to this ground floor flat, with another holiday flat above, luckily they weren’t noisy but could hear them walking around upstairs. The driveway is exceptionally steep with a very tight entrance and limited parking for both flats. Liked that there were tea bags and sugar but no coffee. Fabulously powerful shower over the bath.

No loo paper, no coffee, soap and shower dispenser empty, no washing up liquid, cutlery left in the dish washer. Could benefit from a lock and a hook on bathroom door. A mirror in the bedroom would be good and a table to eat anything off, there was no dining table at all. Soap but no shampoo or body wash. Not complaining as over all lovely but the little details just stopped it getting full marks.

A warm house, comfy bed and superb views.

The dreadful approach - no name on the gate, unkempt garden, peeling paint, filthy front steps with a broken stairlift. It looked derelict.
