The location is excellent, and access is very straightforward. You enter using a door code and key safe, then take the lift directly into the apartment. My biggest concern beforehand was the fridge being in the same room as the bed, as I’m a light sleeper, but thankfully it was completely silent. Everything else was good, too, including the very welcome complimentary Nespresso capsules and tea bags. The balcony is hilariously small for a table and two chairs, but it’s still usable!

The heat was a slight issue. As with many holiday lets, there were no simple instructions for the air conditioning. Yes, they supplied the manuals for every appliance in the flat, but who wants to read through all that just to find out how to set the AC to quiet mode? A couple of sentences in the welcome pack would be all that’s needed. Instead, we had to guess how to operate it and never quite got it right. It was also impossible to adjust from bed, as the unit was around a corner. It would also have been lovely to sleep with the windows open, but, as is so often the case with holiday lets, there were no fly screens, meaning we’d have been bitten to death. There were also several electrical issues. One of the metal contacts inside a socket was bent, so it wouldn’t accept our adapter. The main light didn’t work, and two sockets behind the TV wouldn’t accept our adapters either. There simply weren’t enough conveniently placed sockets, and we ended up ironing on a tabletop ironing board squeezed between the sink and hob because that was where the only suitable socket was. The flat really needs a thorough inspection by a qualified electrician to sort out these problems and check the overall safety of the electrical installations. Most concerning was the coffee machine’s power cable, which had a visibly melted section, presumably because it had to run across the hob. That needs urgent attention.

I loved my stay here, the apartment is beautiful and the location was perfect. Super easy to check in and communication was fantastic and straightforward. I felt sad to leave it and will definitely return.

Loved every thing about it!
