THE RIVERSIDE LODGE Cozy and spacious apartment

Die Begrüssung und gute Tipps hat schon die Woche gut eingeläutet. Nicoletta war immer erreichbar und hat jede Wunsch erfüllt - und noch mehr … Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in Girona in der schönen geräumigen Wohnung. Passte super, da wir die Räder dabei hatten. Wie konnten vor der Wohnung parkieren. (trotz der Blumen-Woche ; ) Der Zug geht hinten vorbei (in der sonst eher ruhige Lage - mit Blick auf den Fluss) Irgendwann habe ich es nicht mehr bemerkt, geschlafen habe ich so wie so mit Stöpsel … Die kleine Terrasse hinten aus war auch ohne Sicht sehr charmant. Ich würde sofort wieder kommen!

Die Dusche war super, hatte aber einen speziellen Geruch.

The apartment was excellent and very well presented, the host was very very helpful and a very nice lady, we will definitely be going back soon.

Girona a vibrant walled city sitting on the River Onyar was a charming cultured and historic town to explore thus the location of the apartment was idyllic - within walking distance (15 mins)

Nicolette was a surly cantankerous irascible demanding host making us feel unwelcome and nuisance to her despite having paid for 3 nights 6 months in advance (non-refundable). Nicolette was not sure when we were staying and it was for only one night and why were we 20 minutes late to collect the keys?when we had travelled from Andorra into Girona teatime traffic. On entering the apartment via the steep metal staircase which dimly lit and smelt unclean. Whilst the apartment looked bright and airy smelt fusty (stale/damp/unventilated) Nicolette demanded passports inmediately for exchange for the keys she stated she needed to know our marital relationship - where we had travelled from and our next destination so she could inform the police. Elaine was upset in recovery from a stroke realising that the apartment had not been cleansed and the bedding and furniture smelt stale proceeded to use our own cleaning products to make a start as Nicolette had left. In tears after a long hot/humid journey this was not what was expected. A meeting was arranged between Nicolette her husband Deago and Us to address the devastating situation for an amicable solution (as both Nicolette and Deago insisted there was no refund option) We therefore requested to appease the moment for the apartment to be cleaned, fresh towel/ bedding the dining room chairs to be replaced and the dirty patio to be sweept and cleansed - we left to appartment for 2 hours for the tasks to be completed. It gives consumers rights to a refund, repair, or replacement if the service is unsatisfactory, unfit for purpose, or not as described. For online accommodation bookings, the Act applies the same principles as for other online purchases, with specific rights for distance selling and the ability to request a full refund within a certain timeframe.
