Ferreries Boutique Apartment

The apartment is very comfortable & stylish, with its ancient stone & brick walls, and a number of interesting, authentic architectural features, such as the original windows. It is also perfectly located in the heart of Gerona's old town. One finds all the amenities that are convenient to have. It's a perfect pied-à-terre!

Unfortunately check-in proved to be quite complicated and cumbersome. Upon arrival I had to call the — at least responsive — hosts to collect info re exact address & check-in procedure that should have been sent with booking confirmation. One has to use one's mobile to open the doors. Once inside the building, the apartment should open tapping another link that, helas, didn't not work, 'cause there is no mobile network coverage presumably because of the building's massive medieval stone walls. Had to go out on the street again to call the hosts, who would then provide a code to manually open the apt door's «smart» lock. Would it be so difficult to include the code in the message sent, just in case? However, by then the main door would not open again using the same link as before — system delay? After calling again, the hosts would open the door via remote. If it wasn't for the latter being so responsive, this would be totally unacceptable. So please: streamline check-in procedure, and provide physical keys! And also, please, don't ask me to take out the garbage to a dump a couple of streets away in a city I don't know. I'm already paying a EUR 70 cleaning fee.

Very central location. Tasteful interior. Most appliances or equipment needed for a comfortable stay.

Got locked out of the apartment block late at night with the app based entry system effectively being overridden by a neighbour using a key to double lock the apartment block front door. Only way to get in was to wake up our neighbours in the block to come down and open the door, apparently getting locked out is a common problem. Rental company to be fair did then provide access to the apartment block key. It should have done that from the outset. Bottom line, make sure you have the block front door key. A hassle we could have done without! Be warned, back of the Spar (immediately opposite the block) is noisy with deliveries first thing in the morning.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment in Girona. I stayed here with my daughters and we loved it. The washing machine and dryer were a real plus, as was the coffee machine with pods kindly provided. The apartment itself is charming: we especially loved the beautiful stone walls. Communication was excellent throughout our stay. We were kept well informed about the check-in procedures and all other details in a timely and helpful manner.

A small word of caution for travellers with large or heavy suitcases: the stairs are quite narrow. Otherwise, everything was perfect, and we would happily stay here again.

It was in an ideal location in the heart of the Jewish quarters in Girona. It was nicely decorated. It was well equipped.

It was dark. Our hallway lights didn't work. We had to use our phone torches to go up & down the stairs. Then our electricity cut out as there was a leak in the apartment upstairs. Thankfully the electricity in our apartment was resolved by a nice electrician called Carlos within 2 hours. Hallway lights were not restored though.
