The place was tidy and clean inside & outside, host was extremely friendly, great communication, not hard to tell that the owners put lots of effort hosting the place, fresh flowers, information printed with guest names in the house.
location was remote which was what we expected, amazing walks, kids were so excited seeing horses, cows, goats, cats, wild bunnies, which was exceptional experience for kids growing up in cities.

If you're looking for an authentic - but modernised - rural getaway, you can't get much better than this!
There are radiators in all the rooms, so everyone can adjust the temperature to their own liking. The shower was great, and hot water was always on, so we never ran out. The living room was cozy, the kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed, and the wifi worked well.
The outdoor areas around the cottage are a real gem though. There are lovely views out over the Galtee Mountains, and it's all very, very peaceful. The bbq was absolutely brilliant after a long hike, and we chatted, watched the stars, and stayed cozy around the fire pit well into the night.
There are several walks of varying lengths starting from just outside the front door - if you can tear yourself away from playing with the kittens! There are also a couple of friendly goats in the nearby field, and chickens roaming around during the day.
We didn't stay for long enough to make use of everything the cottage offered - but it felt like an excellent place for a longer trip, so we hope to be back soon! :)

We loved everything about this place! The location, the accommodation, the walks around the property. It was a perfect holiday altogether with my elderly parents travelling from India and my 2.5 year old child. We were looking for a place not too far away from Cork City, a place to relax and also wanted to experience the countryside in Ireland. This place ticked all our boxes and we were delighted with our stay here. The owner, Ailish, was very prompt in answering any queries/attending to any requests right from the day of our booking confirmation.
My child enjoyed the outdoor walks, watching the farm animals, petting the friendly cat which was around the cottage all day. While we couldn't go on many walks around the property due to health restrictions with my parents and my child being a bit too small for long hikes, we did visit a few other places like the Rock of Cashel, Swiss cottage, Cahir castle which are all just 25-30 minutes drive from the property. The walks that I did manage to go on within the property were great. A lot of options for people with varying fitness levels. Rest of the time was spent in the cottage and outside seating area which has spectacular views. Overall, we have taken away great memories from this place.

It was the perfect little get away for my husband, myself and our granddaughter. We loved the walks and the food packs that we purchased were fantastic.

We absolutely loved our stay at the farm. The very old house has been updated with all the conviences of home. That combination is beautiful. The hosts were wonderful. We ordered the food baskets which were delicious and very abundant. The location, while rustic, is gorgeous and close to many other places to visit. I hope to return with my children next time.

A lovely old traditional, yet cosy, farmhouse with lots of interesting extras: a firepit, a barbecue, a pizza oven. However it is the very private situation and the possibility of wonderful walks direct from the house and the magnificent views that set this house apart. The owners were extremely welcoming but had a total understanding of our privacy and so we felt the cottage was really ours.
The directions could have been clearer especially when google fails!

10 minute drive to carpark for Galtymore walk.Hot shower after 18k walk. Bring your own food and wine and chill out in this quiet location. Next day choice of other Galtee Hikes or 10k forest walk from house. If dining out, recommend booking before arrival for better choice at weekend.
Google maps let me down. Ailish was on hand to direct me.
