Ripon Street Lincoln

The room was clean and comfy (full bed option). Hostess was knowledgeable about the area and suggested the Bomber Squadron Museum which turned out to be a good visit. She was also very friendly. The location is good, Close to the bus and train stations (~0.5 miles) and Lincoln Cathedral/Castle (just over 1 mile). The Bomber Squadron Museum was only about a 15 minute walk. Bathroom was roomy and kitchen facilities seemed fine (though I didn't use them). Check-in / key pickup was easy with hostess proactively sending key info. Room had plenty of space to unpack and plenty of hangars in the wardrobe. Great value. Check out was easy as well.

With the hostess staying for one of the nights I was there, it had an Air B&B feeling, which I generally avoid - more my preference than anything as it reinforces the fact you are in someone's house rather than an inn or B&B or hotel. The room could have used a small fan, something that was provided in two of my other stays this trip - makes a big difference. The bathroom is down the stairs and through the dining area and the kitchen so might be a bit awkward with others staying. Outside doorway could use better lighting as it was dark and difficult to find the lock.

It’s in a Central Location for all the attractions

Everything was satisfactory.

Everything was already thought of BEFORE hand by the host.... you're just floating through.

The bed was comfortable, the host was responsive when needing something, not too far from town.

Definitely felt more like an HMO than a hotel. Bit strange as well to be woken up at 9.30pm by someone to try and gain access to my room to collect a load of belongings from the wardrobe so sleep was disrupted and it felt like an odd thing to happen. Although it wasn’t far into town the street itself didn’t feel as welcoming as I’ve experienced for other hotels in the past for a solo female traveller.
