Sweet BnB, perfect for a relaxing getaway.

This is a really nice old-school BnB, run by the host. She is really very sweet person. The entire house is very elegentaly decorated and has a very nice feel to it. The village around is pastoral, and the hotel is quietly located with many woodpaths right by it. It is also a few minutes walk from a couple of nice restaurants in the village. I highly recommend.

Weekend getaway to the Black Forest

location was beautiful and quiet, breakfast had several delicious homemade jams and spreads, enjoyed access to the gardens to relax, excellent access to walking paths to get downtown, the owners were very gracious and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful.

A really enjoyable stay!

Hotel am Bach is a really nice boutique hotel, with a great atmosphere. The room was large, nicely decorated. There is a relaxing lounge with comfortable chairs, a great library and a piano (if you wish to entertain :-). The breakfast served is different, no run off the mill bread/ham/egg, but all this plus loads and loads of small dishes with homemade jams, herb butters, pastes, dressings etc. A treat. The entire decor is clearly aligned with the vision of the owner.

Best place to stay in Hinterzartin. It's in the Black Forest.

It was the best accommodation I experienced in my 16 days traveling Europe.The host Antonella was so gracious. She went out of her way to make your stay perfect. Just small things make your stay so rewarding. She has the thickest, fluffy bath towels. Breakfast is a work of art.

Excellent host, great WiFi, decent breakfast.

It was difficult to find a place in Hinterzarten. Hinterzarten is exceptional. Hotel am Bach location is easy to find however the view was nothing to write home about. The property has excellent WiFi. The speed is great. The breakfast is also decent with many different jams and butter options. Due to Corona the buffet wasn't there but I'd have loved to have buffet there. It was very awkward for me to order things I wanted to have. The decor of the place is super. Owner's amazing taste shows in every corner of the hotel.

The mattress....oh God, I'd have paid another 20€ to have softer mattresses. Every morning I got up with sore back. The mattresses are super hard. Thank God for the small thought about bits...the room had a hot water bag which helped me every morning to get my back in order. The pillows were very soft. I stayed there for five nights and every night I got up two or three times to fix my pillow position. Could I have told the owner and fixed it, probably yes but I didn't do it. The room doesn't have black out curtains so even when I had chance to sleep long, the sunlight woke me up around 6:30-7:00 am Lastly the worst thing...the walls are very thin. I could overhear conversations from the adjacent room and every time my neighbor flushed, it was loud enough to wake me up at night.

Superb!

Our host was amazing. She is one of the kindest hotel-owners we've met. She had recently taken over the hotel and refurbished it on the inside with trendy and cosy interiors. It looks very homely. The dinner place & "living room" is super cosy and was nice to spend some time there. The breakfast is to die for. Amazing! This hotel is just the perfect place to rest in between walks in the beautiful region. Plus in these times: The place fulfilled all the COVID requirements and we felt very safe at all times.

Original and very comfortable

The location is beautiful! For all looking to rest. Very quiet. Hotel is very suitable for couples and older people. Maybe families with small children. No family rooms available but it is also good if you have older kids with you and want to have some time for yourself in a different room for once! We were in-transit through the location visiting the Blackforest pool. It is 10min away by car. Stunning nature around. Hotel feels like home! Everything is very cosy and unique. It is like an art exhibition. Breakfast was made in a form of tappas with lot’s of different choice. We liked it! The owners are very kind and welcoming couple. Mr. owner ( i can never remember the names):) has a very good sense of humor:) He said that his English was not that good and then explained everything to us in detail in a perfect English! If we go to the same location then i would surly stay there again. Thank you!

I would definitely stay again - I felt very welcome.

The breakfast was sensational, the host was super friendly and welcoming and the sitting room looking over the garden was delightful. I would have liked to sit there with a book all day.

The bedroom was very basic and could do with a little more space in the bathroom, and floor space/seating area in the room.

Es war ein hübscher Aufenthalt.

Die Einrichtung, passt gut zum Schwarzwald und ist liebevoll. Das Frühstück lecker und frisch. Super Kaffee. Nette Gastgeberin. Nahe zum Wald und Restaurants. Parken vor dem Haus.

Die Hellhörigkeit des Hauses und der Zimmer. Wobei man sagen muss, dass die Gäste nicht laut und rücksichtsvoll waren und es daher nicht so schlimm war. Es wären toll, wenn die Duschen moderner und grösser wären. Händewaschen im Zimmer und nicht im Badezimmer möglich. Für mich nicht so hygienisch.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, heerlijk ontbijt, perfecte ligging voor mooie wandelingen. De sfeer in het hotel is erg plezierig, verzorgd en met aandacht. Prima advies om bij de buren te dineren.

Ein wunderbarer Kurzurlaub bei dem wir uns rund um wohl gefühlt haben!

Sehr liebevoll, stilvoll eingerichtetes Haus mit viel Charme und Geschichte. Sehr ruhige Lage und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Leckeres Frühstücksangebot mit selbst gemachten Aufstrichen und Marmeladen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.Wir können das Hotel absolut weiter empfehlen.
