When I appeared at the hotel, I felt excellent. It is an old building with great potential. The location is simply ideal. Close to everything that can be seen in the Medina. The location made it quiet in the room. Every day, morning rays of sunlight came through the window in my room. The owner and the rest of the staff were always warm and helpful, by which they stole my heart. The breakfast that was served was filling. The mint tea in the hotel restaurant was very tasty, just like the beef dish (that was the only thing I found time to try).

Great location on the edge of the medina and very close to a convenient pickup location for day trips and taxis. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and a special shout-out to Abdullah, who was very helpful when I arrived. Breakfast is served in the adjacent restaurant, and was simple, tasty and filling. Again, the restaurant staff were friendly, and I wound up eating most of my meals there. This is adequate accommodation. I mean "adequate" in a good way. As a budget traveller, all I need is a bed and a shower for an affordable price, and that's what I got, so I was plenty satisfied.

My only issue was that the window in my room opened to the corridor, which was fine to get a bit of fresher air, but obviously not ideal. That said, I booked it kind of last minute, so I got the runt of the litter, so to speak. But, again, I had a bed and a shower, so it was fine.
