Sauna was a little draughty and struggled to get beyond 75C with it being much colder at floor level. Sofa bed not particularly comfortable. Piano not in tune.

Quirky, interesting and better than your normal hotel stay.
All of the property amenities were very good. It was great to have such an interesting building behind a non-descript façade. I have placed a recommendation in my pilot's visiting Rouen forum.
Linen (i.e. towels and bed pillows) were a little bit tired and the floor needs to be properly swept before arrival, we had to put the only towels available by the side of the bed to stop transmitting dirt from the floor into the bed. But this was my only issue and can easily be resolved.

Horrible, does not correspond to the price
Location right in center town
Not so clean, not good for 4 adults despite the description. Unfortunately we had to prepare our double bed (super small) by ourself, with bed clothing quite smelly and full of spots. The sauna is out of order, and they told us only after our purchase, impossibile to cancel . Kindly they accepted to let in our baggages until 1 pm instead of 11 am, but actually this can’t compensate such an high price for such a poor room

I deeply regret i didn't read all comments before free cancelation. The beautiful photos look like top floor and attic. Never expect the entrance is immediately to the street and the bedroom is in basement. Is it legal to rent a place to live in basement without window? Or it can be cave only. Once enter the flat, the smell of wet and old made me sick. Dare not to open window because of safety issue. I asked the young lady who gave me the key for a fan or ventilation, she said no, only asked for the deposit and left! No user menu for any utilities, TV or cable remote controls were misplaced. I need to find the wifi code from the hub hidden next to electric panel.
When I booked this flat on June, the title was "L'Autel - Balnéo - Sauna - Centre historique". I shared it with my friend and we were impressed by the title, description and photos. Recently, the word "Sauna" was removed because it didn't work for a while and users complained! However, the room type still remained as "Superior Apartment with Sauna". What a shame! I sent message that the sauna didn't work but no response! The hot tub on the first night didn't work, cold water only, the pressure of the jets almost none. Scam!
The bedding and towels are very used with stains. The extra bedding for the sofa bed was a mess, wrong size, keeping next to the cleaning stuffs, very unpleasant!
Two big machines in the basement keep running with noise and suddenly louder made us difficult to sleep.
The only message i received from the property was asking when will i checkout. A guy, Elian de Rouen Conciergerie came to take the key and returned deposit. I showed him everything that I have complained, he was well understood and said will do something for compensation. However, no news till now!! Not worth the price.

Really sacred & cool. Old ruins, has information about the cave. Great spot. Big shower & tub.
First of all the sauna did NOT work & no one responded to me for 3 days. The only response I got was to pay the deposit & to give the keys back. Anytime I called they said we don’t speak English & hung up on me. I asked countless times what the WiFi was and no one responded. I was there for an anniversary and for work and couldn’t work & couldn’t enjoy the amenities they represented in the heading of the stay. Such a shame.
Towels were used and dirty. I’m disappointed in this place. Has a very loud noise downstairs like a loud roast or and a very strong cave scent. Which does make sense. I really wanted to love it, but terrible customer service and zero maintenance clearly. Also not easy to park around it. I’m not high maintenance & can go with the flow and wanted to love this place. But even the batteries weren’t replaced in the candles that are supposed to light up the stairway.

Not worth the price by a long shot
Unique cavern style bedroom and shower. Brick walls and stone floors were beautiful
Dirty, poorly maintained, broken shower, very poor staff, wifi was extremely difficult to access, front door was very hard to open (an extreme safety issue!!!), no obvious way to leave key on departure other than wait for someone. A huge disappointment

Exceeded my expectations. Was afraid of the possible humudity and cave like smell by reading the other reviews, but I did not experience any of these. Really close to Vieux Marche, parking space is nearby.
Clean. Enjoyed the jaccuzi. Overall nice atmosphere.
I couldn't get the sauna too work, but I didn't bother too much as it was just 1 night and the jacuzzi was fine. Would be better too receive some proof of receipt for the 500 euro deposit.

The place looks nice.
We booked the hotel because it has a sauna and bubble bath. Sadly the sauna didn’t work and halfway filling the bathtub we got cold water. So we couldn’t enjoy the facilities. I immediately send a message and told the sauna wasn’t working and we didn’t had warm water. A few minutes later someone came by to take a look and tried to fix the problem, But sadly it couldn’t not be fixed. We aware that there is an air purifier which make a lot of noise as well. It kept me awake whole night and you can’t shut it down. We spoke with the owner next day and told about our uncomfortable stay and that a discount will be a nice solution for us. He said that we get a message within 10 days (not). Me , my girlfriend and Booking.com tried to get contact with them but we where ghosted.

Enjoyable but over priced
The apartment is gorgeous set into the old brick walls of the church. The Main entrance to the apartment has all the amenities you need. The apartment is well furnished and the two person jacuzzi bath, shower and sauna are really cool additions. The team handing over the keys were friendly and helpful.
I didn't like the fact that I had to provide a cash deposit of €500 on arrival this made me uncomfortable as there is no receipt of exchange. We found some on road parking but the apartment is down a side street that isn't particularly clean. Because there aren't many windows the apartment can get pretty hot and humid.

Great...except for the flooding
My kids absolutely loved staying in an old church crypt turned luxury hotel. There is even a secret passage way stone circular staircase that they couldn't stop talking about.
Our first night we woke up at 5am with 1 cm of water on the ground and it had no way to drain. It has rained heavily that night so we don't know if it was that or a broken pipe in an adjacent unit. We were concerned because there is floor lighting on the walls used to light the walls of the crypt and we didn't want to turn any electrical on. They were nice and said they would refund the stay although we have to request it through booking.com and wait 2 weeks but had that not happened (and they told us it had never happened prior) it would have been a great stay.

Rez-de-chaussée spacieux, cuisine toute équipée avec boissons à disposition, salle de bain propre.
Rez-de-chaussée magnifique et atypique, pratique d'avoir aussi des toilettes en bas. Salle de bain on ne peut plus spacieuse.
Globalement, cadre romantique et élégant.
Petit bémol pour le sauna qui ne marchait pas quand nous sommes venus, et aussi pour les télés sur lesquelles on ne peut pas accéder aux services de streaming.

Estadia única e muito especial!!! Ótima localização, instruções fáceis para a chegada e saída, local muito limpo e bem equipado. Arquitetura histórica e ideia original de adaptar uma cripta como quarto com sauna e hidromassagem. Recomendamos muito a experiência!
Alguns comentários falam de cheiro de mofo. Sou muito alérgica e sensível e, apesar de sentirmos sim cheiro de umidade ao entrar no apartamento, ele não nos incomodou nem causou nenhum desconforto. Apesar do ambiente ser subterrâneo e sem janelas, é tudo muito bem limpo e cuidado!
Gostamos de tudo, sinceramente!
Fiquei com pena apenas de que as velas artificiais que enfeitam a escada não estavam funcionando. Seria muito legal poder ligá-las!

Erg mooie accommodatie, prima gelegen om de stad te bezichtigen.
Keuken is prima ingericht, een heerlijke fles champagne stond in de koelkast klaar.
De slaapkamer in de kelder ziet er prachtig uit.
De WiFi is goed.
Ondanks dat er alles aan gedaan word om het vocht te weren ruikt het vochtig als je het appartement in komt.
Het bubbelbad hebben we 3 x vol laten lopen, bij het aanzetten van de bubbels bleef er viezigheid uit komen :(
Geen communicatie mogelijk, alles gaat via 'Pass Pass'. Nooit enige reactie gehad op mijn verstuurde berichten via de 'Booking-chat'.

Super Lage und das Höhlen Gefühl im Gewölbe ist einmalig. Der SpaBereich ist schön gestaltet und funktioniert super.
Ein paar Handtücher mehr hätten nicht geschadet, um den Spa Bereich besser nutzen zu können.

Booking en accommodatie meldde dat iemand de sleutels zou overhandigen. 2 uur voor aankomst binnen de voorziene uren stuurden wij een bericht over precieze uur van aankomst. Bij aankomst was er niemand, werd de gsm niet afgenomen maar stuurde men in antwoord een bericht dat men op visite was en dus niet kon bellen. Na lang zoeken werd er dan een link gevonden met de locatie van de sleutel. Die zoektocht had men ons kunnen besparen door minstens even op onze sms te antwoorden. Ook nadien heeft men totaal niet meer gecommuniceerd.
Het zetelbed voor de kinderen was verschrikkelijk. Wij zijn noodgedwongen maar een matras gaan kopen in de ikea die in de buurt (20 km) is gelegen.

Le logement est toujours aussi accueillant, spacieux et confortable.
Les ballons dans la baignoire étaient une agréable surprise très amusante.
Il n'y avait plus de travaux dans la rue donc c'était très calme.
L'application a fait un peu n'importe quoi et nous avons attendu une demi-heure avant de pouvoir entrer dans le logement parce que le numéro fourni n'était pas le bon.
Le prix avait augmenté à cause des fêtes, mais c'était prévisible.

L'aménagement est tres bien pensé et fait. Un tres beau cadre. Parfait pour un week-end en amoureux. Avoir coin Balnéo privatisé c'est top. Cuisine bien aménagée. Enceinte avec une superbe qualité de son.
308 euros pour à peine une journee entière, est un peu excessif. (quasiment 100 euros en moins la nuit d'après ) Surtout quand il n y a pas de place pour se garer, que ce soit pour la clé que lon doit trouver ou pour acceder au logement. Dans la cuisine il y avait des dosettes mais pas de cafetière correspondante, pas éponge pour faire la vaiselle, seulement un torchon, une boite à thé quasiment vide. Pour ce qui concerne la partie Balnéo, la ventilation au dessus du bain fuyait dans la Balnéo, impossibilité de vider le bain car le bouchon ne voulait pas remonter, obligé de prendre des casseroles pour vider l'eau dans la douche, dont le gros pommeau côté droite fuit dans tout les sens et au dessus de la parois de douche. Dommage pour le piano non accordé.
