Best Place to Stay in Kotor!

This is probably our favourite place we’ve stayed at while traveling! The apartments are absolutely beautiful and the view is stunning! Sanja and her family are the best hosts you could ever ask for - they picked us up at the bus station when we arrived late in the evening and Sanja had Nutella pancakes prepared for us! She also stocked our fridge with water and beer and gave us a bottle of wine and some treats to enjoy as well! We made great use of the washing machine, and the back deck had drying racks that worked perfectly for hanging our clothes out to dry. There is also a convenience store a few steps away where you can pick up anything you need, and tons of restaurants nearby. We enjoyed staying a few kilometres away from the old town, as the vibe was much more laid back and we enjoyed walking around the area every day. We were also extremely grateful that Sanja dropped us off at a car rental place at the end of our stay. We were so sad to leave and will 100% be back if we ever return to Kotor! We cannot recommend this place enough- find out for yourself and book at Sunny Bay, you will be so glad you did!

The perfect stay in the Bay of Kotor - the hosts and the views will live in your heart forever!

We are full-time travelers, and this is our favorite apartment we've stayed in for relaxing and enjoying sun, sea, peace and quiet. Sanja and her beautiful family are the most wonderful hosts, and the apartment has everything you need. If there is anything else you want, Sanja will know where to get it. She knows the best of everything. The views are stunning from the apartment, and you can be swimming in the beautiful bay within one minute of walking out your door! We even saw dolphins from our window. We loved this place so much we returned for another month in September, having stayed in the apartment for all of July. We came down with a horrible flu when we first arrived, and Sanja made a magical tea with honey, lemon, and ginger - it was delicious and we felt better so quickly! Sanja is an incredible chef too - and can tell you where to get the freshest and healthiest products. We had many special moments just watching the light change on the mountains and the bay throughout the day - the sunrises and sunsets, even the occasional storm was thrilling and beautiful. Dobrota is so much more peaceful and authentic than touristy Kotor, but you can walk or bike into the Old Town easily along the water. It's lovely to walk into the Old Town very early in the morning or late at night when the tourists have gone, then come back to cozy Sunny Bay in Dobrota. It was a very rejuvenating time for us between very busy travel months in the Schengen and UK. Thank you, Sanja - we love you!

Everything. Words don't do justice to describe the experience here. Very kind and sweet hosts, they treat you like friends in holiday. And the place is located perfectly, in the middle of the Kotor bay, you can see all the mountains and the beautiful water. You have everything you need here and a little more. I could retire here, there's nothing more to ask😍

Sanja was so good at receiving us. The couple are so friendly and made our experience even better. The view is stunning, great location if we come back to Kotor, Sunny bay is the place that we will stay for sure. Highly recommend.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sunny Bay Apartments in Kotor! 🌊✨ The view over the bay is breathtaking, and the location couldn’t be more perfect – close to everything yet peaceful enough to fully relax. Sanja and her family are the kindest people you could ever meet. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel at home. The apartment itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay – spacious, clean, and well-equipped. To make it even more special, our lovely hostess treated us with delicious homemade pancakes 🥞 – such a thoughtful touch! It truly felt like a home away from home, and I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re visiting Kotor, this is where you’ll want to stay. I would definitely come back without hesitation! 💛 Highly recommended! 🌟

Absolutely recommend when staying in Kotor

Fantastic apartment on Kotor Bay, with great views of the water. The hosts were fantastic, even offering to pick us up from the bus station. The apartment has a kitchenette and a washing machine so we could do laundry. Couldn’t fault the place. The absolute nicest hosts I’ve ever met.

I can’t explain how perfect this apartment was! It felt like a home away from home. The view over the bay was the best I’ve ever had. Sanya was an impeccable host, nothing was ever too much and she thought of everything to make my stay more comfortable. If I could live here I would!

Honestly, the apartment is just perfect. super clean, big enough, comfy bed and sofa, it has everything I needed during my stay. The location is amazing, right on the sea, shop is just two minutes away, several restaurants nearby (however rather expensive). you need about 30 mins to walk to Kotor Old Town along the water, I walked it every day with a great pleasure. Sanja, the host, is the sweetest person, once she brought me homemade pastries! and THAT VIEW from the window… I could sit there for hours. already miss this place!

Wonderful place and wonderful hosts!

The view was outstanding, during my stay I loved starting and finishing my days taking it all in by the window. The flat is clean and tidy, the kitchen is well-equipped, the property is well-located and easy to find, with nice restaurants nearby and a 15-20min walk to Old Town. Having a bike freely available also made it super easy to explore the bay, and cycling was one of my favourite things to do during my stay. Highly recommend a sunset bike ride towards Ljuta for golden hour. And the host family are the absolute highlight - friendly, welcoming, keen to help you have a great experience, no request is too much, just all round wonderful people! Cannot recommend this place enough and hope I get to return in the future :)

Couldn't ask for anything better

Absolutely brilliant. It's a place ran by a couple and their cat 😂. They love what they do. You rarely get anything like this in any hotel. They look after you like they want you to enjoy your journey fullest, will provide you with anything (bikes, extra towels, soaps) whatever you need. A welcome bottle of wine (probably because we stay there for a few nights) but everything is awesome. Location is just staircase away from the sea. The photos you see, yes it's exactly like that.

Everything! We absolutely loved our apartment, location and the view was to die for. The hosts, Sanya and Vlado, are the kindest, loveliest people you could meet. They cannot do enough for you to make your stay with them so special. We had free access to bikes, which we used every morning to cycle into Kotor to have coffee in the most beautiful old town. The air conditioning was great. The rooms were modern, spacious and very comfortable. The position of the apartment on the promenade was perfect. We loved our time there and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Dobrota.

Absolutely delightful.

This property is directly across the road from multiple swimming spots that were not too crowded during our stay. It was well equipped with everything we needed and the hosts added extra supplies such as wine and biscuits, tooth brushes, slippers and much more. The hosts were amazingly helpful and picked us up from the bus stop even when the bus was 2 hours late. Nothing troubled them and their communication was fantastic. They also booked a hire car for our departure. I highly recommend this place if you are travelling to Kotor.

Location, views, facilities & of course the very very kind hosts. Plus, the apartment had everything we needed! Even an umbrella for a rainy day :) Hosts made us feel like home, they were quick to answer our questions, and were generous with treats in the apartment! Absolutely amazing staying! The apartment is Brand new with everything you need and so many extras that went beyond expectations. Super clean and comfortable overseeing the water. Right next to a little market where you can buy whatever you like and great restaurants. The hosts are absolute legends! Let us ride the bicycles everyday to town and even picked us up and also drop us of from the bus station. Absolute legends! Perfect place and stay.

Can't wait to come back

I stayed here for 2 nights but I wish I'd stayed for a few more. This apartment is my fav of my trip so far. Sanja is simply lovely and wants to make your stay comfortable.. Because of the rain we couldn't use the bicycles she offered us. I appreciate the small touches like drinks in the fridge, wine, warm muffins and the fresh flowers in the lounge.

I loved every minute of my time at Sunny Bay apartments. The view is absolutely spectacular! The apartment was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It had everything you need for a great stay! Upon arrival the host, Sanja had provided drinks, wine and biscuits. She greeted me like an old friend! She was the most generous and lovely host! My 5 nights went way too quickly, and I was sad to be leaving. Thank you!!

We felt so good there, so we wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately apartment was busy and now we have memories of three perfect days there. We have feeling like we were at home. Sanja is great host. For us, this is not for grade 10, it deserved 100. We liked the view from apartment, neighborhood, everybody was friendly, whole atmosphere was spontaneous and unforced.

The hosts were lovely, they gave us tanning beds and bicycles for free, a great private parking spot and the room is 15 meters away from the sea. The apartment was awesome, everything was clean and they even provided a few beverages and chocolate. Highly recommended!

Bardzo polecam pobyt w apartamencie Sunny Bay! Było niezwykle czysto, wszystko pachniało świeżością. Łóżko bardzo wygodne, a całość urządzona z dbałością o komfort gości. Pani gospodarz jest przesympatyczna i pomocna, dzięki czemu pobyt był jeszcze przyjemniejszy. Na pewno chętnie tu wrócę.

Sanja je jako ljubazna i prijatna, dočekala nas je sa osmehom u kasnim večernjim satima, a takođe nas je pri odlasku iz apartmana ispratila i poželela srećan put. Bila je na raspolaganju u svakom trenutku. Dočekalo nas je hladno piće, kafa, vino i sve osnovne namirnice koje bi svaki smeštaj trebao da ima. Čak smo dobili i kiflice i tortu. Stvarno za svaku pohvalu. Sve preporuke za njih. Doći ćemo ponovo sigurno.
