Sunny Bay Apartments

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sunny Bay Apartments in Dobrota, Kotor, and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, and parked right in front of the property, we felt genuinely welcomed by our wonderful hosts, Sanja and Vlado. Their warmth, kindness and attention to detail made our stay feel much more like staying with friends than simply renting an apartment. The apartment itself was immaculate. It is beautifully renovated while retaining the character of a UNESCO-protected building, and it has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is fantastic too, in the peaceful area of Dobrota, yet only about a kilometre from Kotor's Old Town and the Citadel. It was the perfect balance between being close to everything and having a quiet place to come back to. We were greeted on arrival with a lovely bottle of wine and chocolates, which was such a thoughtful touch. But what really touched us was the personal care Sanja and Vlado showed throughout our stay. Sanja even made us delicious crepes. When she learned that I don't eat processed sugar, she kindly offered me organic honey instead. That small gesture said so much about the kind of hosts they are: genuinely caring, thoughtful and attentive to their guests. There are many beautiful places to stay in Kotor, but it is the people who can make a stay truly special. Sanja and Vlado certainly did that for us. Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality, kindness and generosity. We left Sunny Bay Apartments with very happy memories and would love to return one day. If you are looking for a beautiful apartment and hosts who truly care about their guests, look no further.

Amazing location just outside of the busy old town. It was a 30-40 minute walk to the old town but we used the free bikes and it only took us about 5 minutes each way. The hosts are so accommodating and they really made the experience perfect!

Приветливые и заботливые хозяева. В апартаментах нас ждали приветственные напитки, печеньки. Хозяева угощали нас домашними блинчиками. 5. Есть собственный сапборд, которым можно свободно пользоваться.

This lovely apartment has all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. The spectacular views across the bay and the surrounding mountains make this one of the best spots in Montenegro. The apartment is on the main promenade, a lovely 25 minute walk into Kotor, with plenty of good restaurants on route. The beautiful historic villas scattered along the promenade also make this a pleasant walk. Many boat trips are available and can be booked directly from the promenade. If travelling by car you are within easy reach of many of the main tourist sites and the villages surrounding the bay.

There was nothing we didn’t like. Although the bathroom is small it is perfectly adequate for a couple on vacation.
