Expectations VS reality

Expectations VS reality. The reitings were terrible so I wasn't expecting much. Took it because of the cheap price. But the house was wery warm, clean, comfortable. Absolutely not what I expected. Yes, the bread in fridge was old. The shower was spooky. And some blankets were missing. But it was absolutely worth to stay there.

I would not book again!

I feel bad for saying this but: Happy that I just stayed there for only one night. I liked the idea with the hallway-shop and that the rooms were warm but thats it.

Honestly one of the best places I have stayed. The hospitality of the hosts is amazing, always a fridge full of food and the essentials. Would highly recommend.

The only down fall is the shower doesn’t stay on its holder properly but not a big issue still has great water pressure and hot water.

Very big house, easy check in. Lots of food in the fridge that we could eat which was a big plus. Very close to the airport.

The rooms were hot but typical in the summer time. Shower doesn’t stay up right so need to hold when showing.

The bedsheets are really old (even with holes) and it is not very well maintained. Needs to be more clean.

good only for short stay

The house is very spacious and fully equipped with cooking essentials. Its location is close to the airport, which was the main reason we chose it. There’s also a washing machine available for use. Overall, you get exactly what you pay for.

Our night stay was freezing cold. We stayed during the cold season when it was snowing outside, but the heater didn’t seem sufficient to warm the entire house. Additionally, leftover items from the previous tenants were not properly managed. The basement, where the washing machine is located, was poorly maintained. I reached out to the host about the heater but unfortunately didn’t receive a response.

Unbearable.

Absolutely nothing and I am a worldwide traveler and sporty.

In my 74 years of existence, I have never and I mean NEVER stayed in a more dilapidated, broken down lodging. Don’t the owners have any shame? Torn curtains, minuscule mirror in the bathroom opposite the basin at the level of 10 year old, bathtub curtains missing hooks, wallpaper folding off, bedrooms with transparent curtains and no light protection except for one , no towels in the kitchen, and overfilled garbage cans outside which was scavenged by some animal overnight with the result that garbage was scattered on the ground around where we parked the car.

Although cheap, not worth it.

So, it is cheap, but the place borders on shabby. The front door wont close unless it is locked. The toilet seat wont stay up by itself. The water tap in the bath does not close properly. In some of the bedroom windows, there are no curtains. Where there are curtains, they are see-through thin and don`t keep the sun out. Mattresses are cheap foam. Breakfast was supposed to be included but the food provided seemed random and often expired. More like left overs. Bread was stale. There was butter that expired a month before my stay. Also, one got the sense that the place was not clean nor tidy. Like sticky surfaces. Sorry I can not be more positive, but in its present state I can not recommend this place.

Very cold freezing when come inside. I need to make a fire in a fireplace first which is hard because no have oil to make it burn. Also it's seems that pillow cover is not change. Could smell something. The basement looks spooking... why owner didn't turn on heater before we arrived when they make a note to not to turn off heater when leaving apt.

Comfortable, practical, and interesting place to stay when visiting the area.

Easy communication with and quick responses from host. Lots of space in house. Dry firewood provided. Plenty of food in kitchen (much clearly from previous guests), but no "nasty" leftovers or food gone bad. Sufficient and OK quality utensils, dishes & cutlery. Towels were OK quality, clean, and plentiful. Clean and practical house, quite basic interior. 6 year old daughter loved the line of breakfast cereal dispensers (but they also invited to making a bit of a mess...). TV system worked well (though didn't understand how to turn on the extra sound bar). Nice that the house includes a baby cot (though we didn't need one this time). Access to the garden and trampoline was nice.

The quality of the bed linens (laken & sengetøy) could have been better, and newer. (It was very synthetic and clearly used and washed many times). Would have been nice with better shading of windows in bedrooms, given the location has midnight sun much of the spring & summer. Some pictures on the walls and a few decorations would add a nice ambiance & atmosphere. Many cigarette butts and other unnecessary trash around the entrance. A little clean-up there would give a better first impression.

Close to the airport. Clean, comfortable, nice. Kitchen was well stocked and they had some food for me.

Lovely house

Fantastic house with 3 bedrooms, huge living room with log fire place, big kitchen. Walk to the fjord takes 7 minutes and is just beautiful. Lots of food in the fridge. Plus every possible type of cereal. Lovely place.

The house should be repaired and cleaner, but still is a good choice for its convenient location.

If you are travelling from/to Evenes airport, location could not be any better. Neighbourhood is great too and we even saw polar lights right in front of the house.

Bathroom is in a really bad condition, we did not even take a shower in the end.

Still dirty upon arrival, floors weren’t clean and fire place was clearly used but unclean. There were no provisions (wood or cleaning equipment) for the fireplace, given the temperatures over winter the place really needs a fire to keep it cosy. There was no shower head fixtures for the shower.

House6 is very close to airport.

The house wasn't be properly cleaned. A lot of dust under beds etc. Only two small electric heaters so it was cold there when we arrived. The breakfast is just leftovers in fridge.

There are not enough words to describe it. I feel offended. No one deserves to stay at a place like this on vacation, even if the price is affordable. On top of all, my head still hurts from the toxic smell. I can't believe I put my kids through this.
