The cabin was really wonderful and spacious and surpassed even our most optimistic expectations. We're not sure we've ever stayed anywhere where quite so much thought has been put into making guests feel welcome and and home. A whole array of lovely treats was waiting for us on arrival. We agreed that the bed was the most comfortable we'd ever slept in. The shower was lovely, and gorgeous Highland Soap Company products were provided.
We only wish we'd had longer than two nights, with more time to sit and look at the beautiful garden. Our dog loved the whole place as much as we did, and it was great that the garden was fully enclosed, so that she was safe going out for a snuff around.
We had a fantastic veggie Scottish breakfast at the Jaggy Thistle after we checked out and the warm hospitality continued there. Keith was full of wonderful stories and we wish we'd had longer to chat. We've already recommended this jewel of a cabin to friends and can't wait to be back ourselves.
Nothing. The whole experience was wonderful.

Beautiful and peaceful cabin. We fell in love with the property and location! The hosts more than generous and supplied tons of snacks and goodies. The cabin is adorable and perfect for a couple (no pull out sofa). We enjoyed breakfast at the cute cafe nextdoor and did some shopping in the gift shop. Would go back in a heartbeat!

A clean, comfortable cabin accessorised with a Scottish theme.
The enclosed garden was very good for our two dogs.
Check in instructions were not received until midday on our second day, therefore, it was a little awkward that the Foodstop was closed and no one to greet us on our arrival. Felt like trespassing on the property - a note on the door would have been helpful.

The cabin was well equipped and confortable, with full-size real bed, kitchen & bathroom. The view on the garden through the bay window is peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed watching the birds & also the sunset from the top of the garden. The hosts (running the shop and restaurant next door) were fantastic and friendly. We hope the new owners will keep up the spirit !
Nothing to mention here.

The cabin is one of the coziest places we've ever stayed in. There's so many little details, from the beautiful garden to the decorations to the cow plushie. We cancelled some of our plans just because it seemed nicer to stay at 'home' and relax.
The kitchen and bathroom are equipped perfectly.
We were in the area for a visit to Loch Ness, and frankly we think it isn't something one must necessary see when in Scotland - it's just a big lake, like many others - but in hindsight we'd still plan our route the way we did just to be able to stay at this place again.
The walking path behind the cabin - recommendation by the host - is neat, but it was infested by ticks when we walked it. Both of us had 20+ of the little bastards crawling all over us. Removed them in time, but still - a warning would've been helpful (I'm sure our hosts weren't aware, neither were we - didn't see a single tick in two weeks of vacation elsewhere, despite lots of hikes).
Sadly it's a bit difficult to utilize the cabin's great kitchen because the next place to shop for groceries is rather far away.

A opening in the fence so you can take a walk with the dog in the forest. But we don't know if this is legal

Having travelled to many different self catering places this has by far been our favourite! The photos don’t give the cabin enough credit, it was immaculate, cosy, little touches you’d never expect, such a peaceful location l, comfiest bed ever!! The hosts are such genuinely lovely people who made us feel right at home. Breakfast at the Jaggy thistle is a must!
Couldn’t fault it at all.

Loved the feel of the whole cabin. All the attention to detail was well noted and especially the gifted basket of treats, fruit, gin, Prosecco and whisky which was very unexpected and warmly received. Kat and Keith were fabulous hosts and extremely friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Keith gave us a great recommendation for a local Indian and we were not disappointed! Loch Ness only 3 miles away and so the location is a great base for touring around the local area.
Unfortunately the bed firmness wasn’t to our liking, we found it to be too soft. My husband is very tall and when we both lay down on the bed, I felt as though I was lying down a small hill. It’s a personal preference more than anything else.

The hosts were very welcoming and no problem was too big, even when we couldn't work the oven, Keith came over to help. Leads on to a fantastic footpath up hill to the most amazing views. Very cosy cabin and the welcome hamper was a great touch.
That we couldn't stay longer.
