The site on its own was allready enough. Feeling like one with nature!

It was very comfortable, spacious, warm and clean. Having a washing machine and dryer was great. Hosts were very friendly, accomodating and helpful.
Nothing.

Very cosy and comfortable. Loved the night time visitors knocking on the windows

Hosts were fantastic, very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Cottage was perfect, very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The area was beautiful, handy for both coast and forest.
Please change nothing.

great self catering cottage. Beautiful location surrounded by amazing nature.

An amazing, remote, location.. so much birdsong including a cuckoo during the day and an owl at night (May). A winding river bounded the property which my labrador loved. The property's bedrooms were all en suite with large showers and great water pressure. The property was very clean, great cooking facilities, comfortable beds. Lovely hosts..helpful but not intrusive.
No laundry facilities in a cottage that sleeps up to 7...the owner said they would be providing these soon. For longer stays, only underbed storage (no wardrobes/chest of drawers) in the bedrooms. Bring your hairdryer.

For being in the middle of nowhere, the quality of the accommodation was quite surprising. Very comfortable and spacious.
Lack of a spatula in the kitchen.

Lovely Host, went above and beyond to make sure the engineers were catered for.
Unfortunately the internet was down from the storm so the engineers moaned a bit about that. its not the hosts fault and he kept us updated, I just had to mention it.

Lovely welcome from a delightful husky dog was a big hit with our 3 teenagers. Dave was there to welcome us and show us the house.
We loved the unique wooden breakfast bar and shelving in the kitchen/diner. Plenty of cutlery and crockery available.
As a family of five this is a great base for us as there are 3 bedrooms all with en-suite and plenty of space.
Note for any parents reading *** our 3 teenagers all survived 2 nights without WiFi! We actually talked to each other 😀
Nothing we didn’t like but if we were staying longer and going cycling & walking a washing machine would be useful.
It was good to talk to Dave and hear that having taken over only a few months ago he has plans to make some changes.

For 3 generations of a family it was great to all be together with the dog rather than in 3 hotel rooms which would have cost even more. All rooms had their own en-suite with a great shower and the kitchen facilities were excellent. Quiet location and lovely, friendly host family.

Gorgeous cottage in a lovely spot. Would have been perfect for stargazing if the clouds had stayed away! Comfortable beds and fantastic shower. We enjoyed the table and fire pit outside. We only stayed for 1 night but would have enjoyed staying longer. Newton Stewart a 15 min drive away for restaurants and Sainsburys supermarket
It didn’t have wifi but that was good for us!

A bit rustic, but hosts were good at providing more than the minimum and are clearly working hard to improve everything
A work in progress...
