One of the staffs - Scott was very friendly, helpful and attentive.
The staff is flexible about the location for the tent, as our friends booked the safari bell tent and we would like to stay near them.
There is a lot of picnic bench in the campsite, about 15 altogether I guess?
There is plenty of toilets and showers however if you go on a busy weekend try to avoid peak hours - 8-9am/9-10pm
There is a docking station in the lounge to charge your phone or use your hair dryer
There is a tea/coffee station with hot water 24/7 which is very serviceable
A simple breakfast included (few types of bread/spreads/cereal which makes it a good bargain when you just paid less than 40 for a night of tent pitch.
One of the staff mowed the lawn during our stay which should really be done before the busy bank holiday weekend on a quieter weekday. And he got too close to our tent and just sprayed flying grass clippings at our tent.
Maintenance of the toilets/showers, which I felt due to the lack of staff, probably better on quiet days but slightly worse over a busy weekend. One of the shower head came off and one of the toilets was blocked during our stay.
There is not enough details on booking.com/its own website about tent pitch (including either bring your own tent/tent can be provided with airbeds) and somehow I thought the campsite has a loch/pond due to the picture shown but actually not. But it has a good scenery indeed.

The location was great. The scenery is spectacular.
Being told on arrival that we hadn't actually booked a pitch with electric, however, there were some available for an extra £10 per night. A total of £47.50 a night is extortionate. The site needed a good tidy up. Noise throughout the night appeared to be coming from members of staff. The hotel website describes itself as a 5-star hotel, but 2-star would be more accurate.

Everything great

The main house was beautiful albeit very small. Liked the variety of accommodation available. They let us upgrade from a bell tent to the shepherds hut due to the weather forecast.
The lounge could only seat about 8 and about 12 in the dining room.
We stayed in the shepherds hut which was great, apart from the floor being saturated. Not sure why but we had to wear flip flops.
We ordered now of chips, for £5! They were the skinniest French fries that were cold and hard.
Breakfast was supposed to be available from 7am. One person turned up at 7.10am and then started to bring items out. By this time there was a huge queue of people waiting. We ended up quickly having crumpets and a cup of tea and leaving.
