It was warm. Bathroom was lovely. Kitchen was adequate. Carpets and flooring beautiful.
Stairwell filthy smelled of urine. Door to property looked as though it had been broken into several times, which was quite worrying. No bedside lamps or tables in bedroom, curtains were hung by what can only be described as either nails or staples.
Kitchen - sink had eggshells in the plug area. Cutlery was limited- only 1 dessert spoon. Plates were not washed properly, we needed to wash everything before we used them. A corkscrew/bottle opener would be a good addition. And maybe a couple of wineglasses rather than having to use plastic beakers. We do appreciate that these things get stolen from properties but it is quite frustrating to have to go to the local shop and purchase things that should be basics.

The flat is well-equipped: fridge, oven, kettle, microwave etc. There is a good amount of dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils. The flat is right next to bus stops going both in and out of the city, and with three bus lines so it’s easy enough to reach most places of interest in Glasgow. It’s also close to the new Renfrew bridge, so the airport is a short taxi ride away. The host is extremely responsive and ready to help.
The flat’s doorlock is difficult to open; once you get the hang of it it’s okay, but the first few tries can be stressful. The flat is on the first floor looking out to a main road, so there’s traffic noise most of the time during the week, even at night.
