Perfect cosy bungalow for visit to Cardiff

For a couple it was perfect, compact but there was everything we needed. Comfortable bed. It was very close to station and to bus stop. Plenty of buses. On the Saturday we walked back from Principality Stadium as there were big queues for all trains and buses. With a pub pit stop, the actual walk took us about 40 minutes. We would certain stay again, if we came for the rugby, it's nice to know dogs are allowed in the bungalow although obviously not allowed to go the rugby.

Everything was great, the owner communicated quickly so the only fault was storm Claudia and no one takes the blame for that. Intact after quite a difficult drive to Cardiff the bungalow gave us a cosy welcome.

Great for our needs!

Excellent clear and timely instructions from the host so access was seamless. Contact details provided whcih gave complete reassurance even though not needed or utilised. Very good check in and out timings - much more generous than other places. Location was perfect for interview at a venue local to the property and for exploring Fairwater which was previously unknown to us. Compact but well equipped space and easy parking. Great sized TV. Comfortable settee and good sized kitchen space and en-suite. Although we had our own transport, we could see that the public transport links would have been excellent.

I would have liked some sort of welcome package if only milk, tea and coffee although I appreciate that not everyone has dairy or caffeine these days after a long drive it would have been nice to just be able to put the kettle on and have a cuppa before getting on to our first task but I would definitely use this venue again so it isn't a deal breaker just an extra nice to have.

Cost bungalow in excellent location

Excellent location,only a 5 min walk to the local train station and newsagents. Train took only 11 mins to Cardiff Centre so was ideal! Quiet street and neighbours with parking on the street outside the bungalow. Lovely host who answered any questions we had. Cute,cosy studio which was just what we needed for our trip to do the Gavin and Stacey tour in nearby Barry!

Slight smell of dogs as the property is dog friendly but no pet hair and property very clean. We stayed in July so the room was quite warm and needed to keep the windows shut during the day while we were out and during the night, as it was a bungalow, so a fan would be handy for future guests. TV only had normal channels as the device had been broken and needed replacing,so we were a bit bored when we returned in the evening.

Best getaway in a long time.

Had everything we needed, check-in and out dead simple. Station literally 5 min walk if we didn't want to walk into centre so dead easy to get around. Owner was superb communication was spot on. Oh and the bed! I didn't want to get out of it, was soooo comfy! Plus co-op 8min walk and Chinese 5 mins although everywhere delivers too if you don't want to venture out.

Perfect for a short stay

A small studio bungalow perfect for a short stay. Well equipped and clean. Nice bedding and plenty of towels. Good shower. Nice and warm.

Parking was a bit difficult as so many other vehicles were already parked there.

The studio is small but well equipped. Everything worked and the bed is very comfortable. The pressure of the shower was excellent. The location is very good for Cardiff centre.

The studio should be equipped with air conditioning or a fan of some sort for use on hot summer nights as the windows can't be left open due to the noise of passing trains.

Brilliant stay, exceeded expectations

Easy to find and great location for travelling into Cardiff Central by both train and bus. Host provided additional info which was a great help. Great Chinese nearby too.

Very good location meant it was easy for us to travel around. Just loved the comfort of the bungalow and how the hosts made sure you felt homely with all essential items. Was a very nice touch with a folder that contained so much information on how things worked in the bungalow and also tourist pamphlets

Everything you need for a weekend break & more. Spacious and very comfortable, great transport links, just a short hop on the bus into the city centre so we barely used the car. I'm sure we'll be back!

It is well -designed and was fitted out with everything we needed. Apart from one step to the door from the outside it was all level access so useful for anyone with mobility issues.

We had to park on the pavement by reversing over a dropped kerb. Location on a street corner was ok but no view from the windows which were semi-glazed with frosted glass to give privacy.
