Very poor

The shower was hot.

The property turned out to be in a very rundown part of Cardiff, which came as a bit of a shock when we arrived. There were always beggars by the entrance door as it’s on their patch right next to the Tesco’s cash point. The advertised car parking was through a very tight archway into a very small yard behind the building, full of builders waste and shared with lots of other cars. Parking is random, no designated parking spaces, and very little manoeuvring room. On our first evening we couldn’t go into town as planned because our car was blocked in by someone else. For the remaining two nights we didn’t risk it and luckily found on street parking instead. The photos on Booking.com are very misleading- the flat isn’t nearly as clean and fresh as pictured, and we also found a ladies razor left in the shower and a couple of used facial wipes on the floor behind the bedroom door. It was also very overpriced for what it was- even in high season £855 for three nights is a lot to pay for a place that was frankly disappointing. In fact when we arrived I was so embarrassed at having brought my wife and daughter here that I wanted to leave and find a hotel instead, but my wife felt that would just be good money after bad and that we should just make the best of it. Also, the online description didn’t mention that the flat was on the first floor. I have a spinal cord injury and have to use two elbow crutches to walk. I can manage stairs but it’s a struggle and I feel that the owners should have said that it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Finally, communication. Despite the deluge of emails before we arrived, when we needed to contact the host, the 10am-10pm direct line number they gave was not answered and the response, when it did come, was by email. All in all having paid to stay in this place I felt like I’d been taken for a ride, overcharged, and was glad to see the back of it

The flat was clean, beds was comfy. We came with 2 families and a dog it was enough room for all of us. The host was very helpful. Cardiff is a beautiful city. We highly recommend this place. Many thanks Kasia and friends and Jerry
