Modern Room in Cardiff, Wales

The downstairs kitchen is large and well appointed with all the equipment that you would need and we were able to cook and eat a meal there on the first night with no problems. We washed up and left the kitchen as we had found it. However, on the second night when we returned to the accommodation, we found that someone else had cooked a meal - it looked like a curry - and had left all the utensils and crockery and cutlery in the sink and on the draining board, without washing them up. We went out to eat that evening. Some breakfast material was available in the shared kitchen - cereals, bread, milk etc - we had also brought some of our own food in the way of fruit and juice.

The bedroom was clean and well furnished with modern, relatively new furniture and a comfortable bed , The room was an attic extension with a dormer but the sloping roof restricted movement on one side of the bed , though this was not too much of a problem. The bathroom was excellent - clean, modern, with a lovely bath, walk in shower and double washbasin with a well illuminated mirror and with shampoo and bath gel etc. provided. Access to the bedroom and bathroom was up two flights of stairs - the upper flight was slightly narrow and twisty which made carrying our cases up a bit difficult and we were grateful for help freely offered by Amelya.

It was comfortable, quiet, and offered excellent value for money. Having a private bathroom and exclusive use of the top floor provided added privacy. The room maintained a pleasant temperature, and the clean, fresh environment made for an enjoyable and relaxing stay overall.

The room was clean, light and so comfortable. I felt so welcomed by the family who were really happy to help, if I needed it. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again if I’m next in Cardiff.
