Quiet & quirky cottage, the enclosed garden is defiantly a bonus to relax in & also safe for your dog & bikes too.
The steps ( 2 sets of ?6) in the property were a bit steep & no handrail to use either which was risky going to the loo at night.

Have stayed before. Layout of the building has huge character., with good facilities. Owners are pleasant and helpful and met us at the property, even though we had a key safe code for access. Setting is beautiful.
Quite happy with everything. Planning to return.

I really liked this quirky little cottage. Ideal for my requirements as close to places I wanted to visit around Silverdale and had everything I needed though
I didn't try the cooker or oven.
Phone and internet signal occasionally lost. A welcome pack would have been a bonus though milk was outside the door on my arrival.

The location was really handy for our route home from Scotland and in a lovely village. It has a pretty cottage garden. Nice lounge which was lovely and warm in the sunshine. Pleasant dining room, very friendly welcome from the host who communicated very well throughout.
First of all, not sure about the description of ‘stunning’ cottage. The kitchen and bathroom both need updating. The shower room in
particular needs looking at. The shower cubicle is very small and there wasn’t any room to leave toiletries. Slightly disappointed as it wasn’t cheap.

Friendly owner who provided us with lots of helpful information. Wonderful little cottage, in a small village. Time we spent there was very relaxing. The cottage was spotlessly clean with a comfy bed & a great size garden which was ideal for my friend who brought her dog. We enjoyed our stay and I will definitely return if staying in the area.
The shower was great for me being small but, possibly be a squeeze for others.
Towels were rough could do with new ones.

I am sorry for my delay in feedback we just wanted to get home and settled.
Firstly I would like to start with the booking. After reviewing many accommodation the title ‘Stunning 1 bed cottage’ drew us in and we thought fair price for such an impact statement of accommodation.
Ahead of arrival the owner text to advise if we give 5mins notice, she will meet us to explain a few things regarding the property. We was advise not to use the latches on windows as the building is old it cannot cope with the heat and the contracting of the materials that follows in such temperatures. We was also advised the TV will work intermittently this is since the storm damage but if we have prime or Netflix we could access this. Advised check-out on the Sunday was 10am but it’s ok if we were just over and check-out is between 10-11am.
First thoughts upon entry it’s a quirky cottage but unfortunately the experience and standard has not met our expectations and improvements can be made to justify such a quote of ‘stunning’. I have not felt comfortable in speaking to the owner direct about this experience hence I wanted to come and reflect on our experience and feedback. I also understand the world is recovering from an pandemic and business have been heavily impacted but this should be reflected in the advertisement of which determines the travellers choice. I may add I am well travelled and use various booking platforms to make my reservations and where appropriate I feel its only fair I give a true reflection of my experience for other bookers.
Where to start. The sofa bed in the living room is not fit for purpose and the mattress is passed it shelf-life. The two children aged 7 and 8 were allocated this sleeping offering and neither slept a wink they were so uncomfortable. I also tried it out and it was embarrassing to even expect anyone to sleep on it. I advise if keeping this additional sleeping offering you invest in a decent mattress topper.

Lovely enclosed garden - perfect for the dog, plus nearby walk in the woods. It is a genuinely characterful property - fun to stay in, yet comfortable. The owner was super attentive and helpful - couldn't ask for more.

lovely little cottage, much more than I expected. The rear of the cottage is gorgeous with the mezzanine floor looking out to the garden.

We liked the layout and quirkiness of the property, a former barn, which we were told was probably the second oldest building in the village. It had been sensitively converted and included a lovely garden and outdoor seating area. Provision made for for the fact that weather can be changeable in the Lake District - two large TVs! - and washing machine and dishwasher are useful for a longer stay. Because of the glass extension/patio doors, the property was sufficiently warmed to require no additional heating. There were heaters and/or cooling fans for all eventualities! There was good communication with our hosts prior to our arrival and they were extremely friendly and helpful at all times during our stay. The village itself was scrupulously clean and very picturesque. It was an excellent location for travelling around Arnside, or further afield. Village pub within minutes walking distance. Shops, eg large Tesco in Carnforth, were between 10-20 minutes away.

The property was well presented and clean. We loved the place and would visit again. the facilities were fantastic and we had no trouble finding stuff. The hosts gave us clear instructions re finding keys and organised someone to welcome us. The place was warm and cozy.
Towels were clean but rough and felt a bit too old. The sofa bed could have been a bit more comfortable as the base and the mattress was too thin.

It was very peaceful, clean and beautiful
Radio a bit complex for me and couldn’t get it working

Location good, value for money, the cottage was charming with a mezzanine floor for the bedroom and lounge in what appears to be a converted garage.
The bathroom is very compact with a very tight shower space not ideal for the larger person, and some mould on the tiled surfaces of the shower did detract somewhat.

Interesting quirky cottage with a good sized garden in a pretty village and just a few miles to the coast
Low headroom, kitchen and bathroom could do with updating

Very well equipped property with all equipment you might need. Nice garden to sit out in if the weather is nice.
Around 25 min drive to Bowness and 50 up to Glendinning

Good location in a pretty village.
Marketed as ‘dog friendly’ but on arrival I discovered there were restrictions on freedom of dog.Had I known this in advance I would not have made the booking. I have mobility problems and I found the location of light switches upstairs were inadequate. I had to leave the light on in the living room in order to safely navigate the stairs on visiting the bathroom during the night. Shower was clean but mould on the tiles let it down.
