The most peaceful stay ever.

The accommodation was absolutely spotlessly clean with a well appointed kitchen. We had the most relaxing two night stay. We will absolutely return at our first opportunity.

Well equipped, good location.

The cottage was clean and well equipped and as there were only the 2 of us there was plenty of room as we used the second bedroom for wardrobe space. The location is good for exploring the surrounding area and the Lancaster canal is literally across from the farm which was great for walking our dog.

The mattress was much too soft for us but that's a personal thing. The immediate outside of the cottage needs tidying up, dead plants in pots, weeds and generally sad looking.

Nice little cottage that had almost everything we need. I feel it could do with another extra comfortable chair. No comfortable sitting for a fourth person. Mattresses soft and well worn. Apart from the latter everything else okay.

Stunning cottage and setting.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, had everything needed, nicely decorated and cosy warm. Very detailed book of manuals, details of the house, area and activities and places to visit. Very quiet considering it was on a working farm. Our dogs had a secure area to play out and we were able to park right outside the cottage. Can't fault the place. Added bonus were 6 yummy eggs from the farm waiting for us.

Lovely, cosy cottage

Lovely, cosy place to spend a rainy weekend. The kitchen was very well appointed and we enjoyed our brekkie of the biggest eggs we’d ever seen. The canal across the road was a lovely place to walk our dogs.

A pleasant cottage in a flexible location

Warm and comfortable with electric heaters and wood burning stove. Parking right outside. Location good near M6 so several areas accessible. Nice canal walks and boat ride. Helpful owner.

A freezer compartment absent from fridge so couldn’t use ice blocks for picnic chilling, or store frozen food. Otherwise, all good.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage. A wonderful home from home.

We had to travel over to the U.K. from the Isle of Man to take our dog Loki to Kentdale Referral’s for double knee surgery. We wanted somewhere nearby and came across this beautiful cottage. The owner (Alison) has fantastic communication and was very informative leading up to our stay. When we arrived we realised it was located on a beautiful farm, you could hear all of the animals during the daytime which was lovely, but it was very quiet at night. It is a wonderful location and nearby pubs, shops and great walks. The cottage itself is beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. It is so cosy, homely and wonderfully decorated. Everything you could possibly need is available to you and if you need anything whatsoever, the owners are very happy to help. The wonderful eggs were a delightful touch. Lovely, friendly owners. It really is a home from home and we would highly recommend anyone stay here.

Peaceful location. Well equipped kitchen. Clean and tidy. Pleasant, communicative owner. Handy for the Lakes and Dale's. Nice welcome gift of fresh eggs.

Dirty windows, one unit needs replacing. Walking the dog especially at night, very limited as to where to go. One of the beds creaks. Shower pressure very low. Bottom of stairs was awkward for my elderly mother as no handrail at that point.

Very clean, smelt amazing every where! Great interior style, felt very homely. Amazing selection of games and books. Super easy to find and great location to get into the Lakes for walking during the day.

Only one thing, the bed in the room with built in cupboard/wardrobe has a very soft mattress and could feel the springs so wasn’t very comfortable. Other than that everything was perfect!

The cottage is beautifully decorated, clean and homely. Ellers Farm Cottage go the extra mile to make sure you are well set up for a trip away from home, but with all the comforts of home.

The sat nav took me to the wrong location, thankfully Alison sent a welcome message with directions to the property. There’s nothing I could fault with the property!

Lovely cozy and clean cottage. Rural which was nice although hard for some taxis to find. Alison was accommodating and the cottage was well furnished. Nothing beats hearing cows mooing at night. Definately recommend this place for those who like rural and enjoy stunning views.

A real gem.

Ellers Farm Cottage is a real gem. It has been renovated to a high standard and is very comfortable, clean and cosy. The cottage is easily accessible from the M6, it is close to the Lake District (Kendal is 15 mins away) and close to the Yorkshire Dales. Two minutes walk from the front door you have lovely walks along Lancaster Canal. You are really spoilt for choice for things to do nearby. (Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall, Kendal, Arnside are all within a 20 min drive.)There are good pub restaurants a short drive away but if you want to eat at the cottage I suggest visiting the Low Sizergh Farm Shop and buying their excellent ready made meals or pies.
