My Favorite Stay of the Trip

I almost don’t want to share this place because it’s that good. Tucked on the south side of Adelboden, it’s a quiet spot about a 15–20 minute walk to the main street. From the balcony you get classic Swiss postcard views: wide green meadows and snow-capped peaks. Rooms are only two or three floors in total, and I stayed in Room 5 — probably the best one, with a balcony even larger than the room. There’s a beautiful plane tree outside, half green and half golden—stunning. Facilities are modern and spotless, with everything you need (no kitchen). The bathroom is spacious and the shower is the best I had in Switzerland — genuinely a joy to use. Plenty of parking, and there’s a house restaurant downstairs with good food. Breakfast is very nice too (pro tip: ask the server for freshly made sunny-side-up eggs). Staff are friendly in a natural, unfussy way — none of that over-the-top “scripted” enthusiasm you sometimes get. And the absolute highlight: they provide an Adelboden–Lenk guest pass that lets you ride the cable cars unlimited times. That perk alone saves a ton of money and makes exploring the area a breeze. All in all, this might just be the best hotel in Adelboden. If I come back to Switzerland, I’m definitely staying here again.

Amazing stay!

We had such a lovely stay, the rooms were comfy and cosy and had the best views and balcony from room 4. The room was modern with a rainfall shower and underfloor heating. There’s a coffee station on the first floor for hotel guests, as well as a selection of tea. The breakfast was amazing, great selection and eggs available. Lots of parking right outside, we drove into the town for some food in the evening and was easy to get to. We also were staying in Adelboden to be close to Kandersteg for the Oeschinensee hike!

Great hotel in a stunning location

It is set in a stunning location but out of the main village. Room was comfortable and clean . The shower was amazing! Staff were great.

The air conditioning was locked and not able therefore to be controlled in the room. Restaurant was closed on both Tuesday and Wednesday which was not anticipated.

super cute and very clean property which was modern as well as cozy! the location was just perfect and about 45 minutes walk from the waterfall. so the view was exceptional. I absolutely loved my stay and if I go back to that region again, I would definitely stay in this same hotel. the water pressure and the shower equipment was so good that if they had those shower heads for sale, I would have bought some for my house! but we didn’t let that convince us to take long showers! saving water is everyone’s responsibility;) they gave us cards to use some attractions such as cable cars for free and unlimited! so if you go there, make sure to enjoy the cable cars and then use the step bikes to ride down the mountains in the specific paths that are designed for this.

the bathrooms aren’t very discreet, so it’s uncomfortable to use the toilet when someone else is in the room! also, it would be nice to offer rooms with two single beds for people who travel with a friend. then the beds can be pushed together when all the guests are couples of course. another small issue was that the blankets were suitable for winter time, but warm summer nights ask for a lighter, thinner blanket. But these were nothing compared to the positive qualities of the hotel and the nice staff :)

Exceptional

Everything! I lived in a room with big terrace and absolutely amazing view! The room is cozy and clean. 10 out of 10. also had the best breakfast in my whole life. So I had a really great experience staying here.

Disappointing

The town and surrounding landscape is stunning and inspiring beyond words. The hotel was clean and newly remodeled I believe:

The suite is in the attic, there is little to no air flow, no view, and low ceilings with one bathroom. If you have any issue with claustrophobia as I do, this is not the room for you. the hotel was not helpful at all in my request to cancel the reservation, or at least one night of it, and only offered a small room with one bed (we were 3) at the same rate as what we were paying for the most expensive suite. Adelboden is such a beautiful town, but my experience trying to communicate and work to find a solution to a room that was way too expensive and was in the attic… was incredibly frustrating. This is the first time I have left a review on booking.com … I have never left a bad review, but I have also never had an experience like this that left me feeling so anxious and frustrated.

Perfect

Everything!! The hotel was in a good location, free parking, was new, so so so clean and had great technology in the room including tap access to WiFi, Netflix, touch lights and modern shower. The bed was super comfy and the view was gorgeous. The shower had Ritual products and there was a cute coffee making area in the hall. The breakfast was delicious especially the coffee and hot chocolate. The staff was amazing, they were well informed, spoke English and were so kind. And again, the place was so clean!

That we only stayed 2 nights. It was just so lovely.

Exceeded our expectations!

It exceeded our expectation. We arrived late in the evening and it was cloudy rainy day. We needed to wait a bit at the restaurant downstairs to check-in but when we finally could enter our room, we were amazed about how organized the room was. The bathroom and furniture were high quality and modern. The queen size bed and pillows were really comfortable and really clean. Also the balcony was really huge. But the most amazing moment was when we woke up in the next morning on a sunny day, we saw the mountains when we went to the balcony. Amazing view! The hostess was really kind. She gave information about the places we could visit based on our preferences, and helped us with all our questions. The breakfast was also great with enough choices.

We didn't like the fact that we could not stay longer at Bodehüttli.

fantastic stay

beautiful traditional house with a very modern interior. quiet, comfortable beds, and amazing view. all the staff were very friendly. and the breakfast was very nice.

no elevator. it’s also quite far from where all the adelboden restaurants are. and when we arrived they were fully booked for dinner. so it would have been nice to know upon booking that we should probably reserve a table, or walk 30 minutes to dinner (but the walk is very beautiful so we didn’t mind).

Lovely location in fields a short walk from main town centre

Booking.com shows a lovely restaurant and terrace but it was not opened on the day we arrived and there was no facilities to get hot drinks or snacks even. The restaurant was used for breakfast and seemed to have more than enough staff to handle all guests and a number of local drop ins for coffee and breakfast etc.- shame their wasn't one person to staff restaurant the evening we arrived and after a 500km drive looking for a cup of tea!

Stunning views, very cozy stay, great breakfast, close to nature

We liked everything. Amazing view, very comfortable mattress, easy to get to a lot of stunning hiking paths, very close to nature. Many thanks to the stuff for arranging tasty vegan breakfast for me! (Else the breakfast buffet looked very good for non-veggie people). Merci vielmal!

Sehr schöner & netter Aufenthalt

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam & zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, schön gemütlich und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, allerdings hätte man für den Preis noch Rührei, Spiegelei oder Ähnliches erwartet. Dennoch war es ausreichend und sehr gut. Das Abendessen war seeeeeehr gut! Selten so gut gegessen.
